Prediction Changes vs Carlt’n

No change .
Under the most pressure to perform . DBJ , Bonner , Amon , with the guys to come in these guys wouldn’t want to have 2 average games

The only possible change I’d consider is DBJ for Howard as we are a bit short down back.

The change I fear, that will undue the goodwill generated against Melbourne, is Marshall out to be replaced by a small. If Marshall is out it’s the test if Ken is really changed or it’s different season, same shit.

Jonas, Clurey, Watts and Burton are pretty tall.

We're not really that short.

Jonas - 188
Bonner - 190
Burton - 191
Clurey - 193
Watts - 196

Jonas might get looked at for trying to cut Gawn in half off the ball. Nobody else would, but Tom Jonas.

What happens if Jonas gets suspended, Wines is still injured, Hartlett is still injured? A player from outside the leadership group will be captain. Co-captains to no captains.

its hard to nominate who acting captain would be as there is no one else in the leadership group.

Ebert would become acting captain id imagine. Possible Rockliff or Boak, although you'd think they avoid giving pack to the previous captain.

I think it'd be Rockliff.

We should be safe with regard to Marshall staying in the team, unless he's concussed, in which case Howard or Frampton should replace him to maintain our forward structure.

I really liked Marshall's game yesterday. He looked sharp from the outset, and although his stats were still modest, he impacted on numerous contests and was an important link in a couple of crucial goals, most notably Butters first goal and Westhoff's fourth goal. That was his best contribution of all the matches he's played so far this year.

Our forward line looks much more dangerous now than at any time last year. Clearly most people will rightly point to the change in game-style with quicker ball movement and overlap run, as the main reason. IMO we are also benefiting from not having 1-2 main targets down there that the opposition are drawn to. Even when Gray is down there, we're not looking to use him exclusively.

Rozee and Butters provide the agilty and speed that was missing from Wingard's forward game of the last 2 years, while their ball handling and skill execution is cleaner than Sam Gray or Johnson's. Brad Ebert impacts on so many contests. He is going to pluck more of those high marks the longer the year goes on; he looks so dangerous when he is one-out in the goal square with the ball coming in long - his hands just need to be stronger to complete the mark when he feels body contact.

The commentators were also spot on about Westhoff. Keeping him forward for longer is doing wonders for us. His form throughout JLT was strong. He is marking cleanly at the highest point and his set-shot goal kicking is much better than usual.

People expecting a bull to have silky disposal are asking a hell of a lot and a for a generational player (like Martin).

I think we just expect better and smarter use of the football than we saw yesterday - hell I was the one defending him in the game thread and I can say that.

He was a first round pick with a break out season and second round blues (which were exacerbated by certain disgusting mudrakers lying about him in the media), he should be back on track and could be settling in to the upper end of "very good" and just about knocking on the door of elite in years to com. Very good players don't make that many clangers.

I second the call for him to go straight to Cripps at least for the first term

Still think Motlop is flying under the radar, but will survive.
Yes and no, I said the same thing.

To me He is one of those type of players that you realise what he does when he is not in the team. Like 8 possies from him is worth more than 20+ from others.

The changes or non changes this season will really hit home if the club has changed.

SPP stays in the team. I don't know what his KPIs are, but I doubt that Shot Accuracy is one of them. If he'd kicked a couple of the shots he took we'd all be saying he was one of the best on ground.

Was about to say the same thing. If he'd kicked straight he would gave git 3 brownlow votes.
