I still remember Shaun Rehn leaping in the air taking towering marks. What a gun, now that was a ruck. I just don't understand how those in charge allowed this to happen? Incomprehensible.

The lack of long kicking from Smith was truly puzzling too. Why the heck is he handballing it more than he's kicking? I reckon he only had one kick from the kick ins where he let lose and it led to a shot on goal within 30 seconds after. It's a genuine weapon, but we seemed to be obsessed with handballs and short kicks through the back half. It's safe play, but that's not what made us a good team.

Tony Locket would struggle to get a touch with the delivery they were receiving, Hawks had numbers behind the ball all day and pressured the delivery so it was crap. The forward in me compels me to stand up for these guys, there was some shots missed but the blame lies up the field.

Feel that's pretty unfair 1 coach consulting with another to conspire to topple another team. Would like to beat a team fair and square. Obviously the Scott boys do it and I would assume most coaches have private conversations over the phone but it's unusual in world sport 1 team helping another I would assume. Shows you that our coaches have a lot to learn in regards to analysing a team and getting information any way you can.

**** I’d even get Ken Hinkley in just to get our bunch fired up. I’m pretty sure we’re using soothing words from the Dali Lahama currently. “Serenity Now” just doesn’t cut it.

D-Mac coming straight in with no preseason game was it for me.
Worst game I have seen us play since the 17 GF.
We are flat track bullies.
That was nearly our best 22 and we served that crap up on our home turf?
We were lucky to only lose by 5 goals. Against a decent side it would have been a cricket score.
Next week had better be an improvement or we will quickly become the new Gold Coast.

I take it you didn't watch us play against Melbourne last year? That made yesterday seem like a great effort. I agree though it was a putrid performance and I was pretty fired up watching it given it was round 1 with a mostly healthy list you just wonder how there could be so little effort from some.
