Good news Stevie. You have 499 foolish friends like you :p

The ultimate rage trades!

I have Gawn and will keep him until a clearer picture emerges.

We'll all want Oliver in our midfield by the end of the year. But by all means, bail bail bail!

We can always trade him back in again via the Roughead out, Roughead in maneuver.

Yeah wont be doing anything till next week.

Just experimenting with my trades atm.

I am also keen on this scenario.

Oliver > Sheed

Walsh > Worpel via Setterfield

Get 2 of the best mid pricers then and it fixes up 2 areas of my team.

But not the area that needs fixing. That defence is frightening.

Please dont tempt me. I dont wanna run out of trades again. Though if Oliver spuds im not copping the price drop like I did last year with zerrett and hibberd. He is gone for sexy macrae

I think I will grab Lloyd for him.

It's the most sensible trade for me even though grabbing Sheed and Rocky\Worpel is mighty tempting.

sooo many idiots.

no injuries? no trade. even if you feel like you have to make a correction, chances are high that it will back fire.

Max Gawn down in Geelong after the games last year will kill it - even if it is in a loss ;)

I fully endorse chasing the previous week's scores and trading early and often. I don't think I would have been in the top 50k last year if I didn't.
I started last year at 52k and if I hadn't of traded my ass off early I wouldn't have made the top 20k by rounds 5-6. I don't mind early trades if there is a legitimate reason.
Imo, Oliver and Gawn will come good. Both were targeted heavily by Port players and roughed up at every opportunity. Grundy on the other hand looked very limited to me, probably still overcoming his foot injury.

Is trading lots to get in to the top 20-50k an achievement?

Just try telling me I don't need to correct Zach Merrett especially when I can get Lloyd.

Anyone looking at trading in Sheed or Rocky after 1 game at the expense of Oliver, Walsh or Libba has rocks in their head.
I know your lot didn't fire a shot yesterday JD, but you have the Saints this week remember. Could well be the confidence booster you need?

How would you feel if Gawn goes 120 and Hoff goes 90? Same for Sheed and Libba.

I mean you're right, a total knee jerk reaction

I guess I've some concerns over the role/impact that traditional ruckmen will have with the new rules. Also i guess preuss will be available at some point.

That said, there's just as many q's about Sheed's productivity once Gaff returns.

In terms of the ruckmen roles all things are relative, if Gawn's score drops as a result then so do all the ruckmen theoretically, and therefore as Gawn is a top scorer in his role, then he'll still be a leader scoring wise.

It just means it may impact overall scores, but theoretically this should be the case for all teams..

As a Carlton supporter watching both JLT and watching him live at the G. He is shocking 1 v 1 defender. He is like a seagull enjoys being the +1 role. Did most of the kick-ins on thursday night.

So is Jake Lloyd. The amount of times he got beaten on sat night was embarassing. Yet both scored 130. Our formula accurately represents impact on game my ass CD.

Too early for rookie corrections?
Balta > B.Scott via Drew
Burgess > Duursma

so funny to read everyones trade plans after ONE GAME!!

oliver to sheed.....pure genius!

until gaff comes back and oliver pumps out a 140 this weekend.....

Oliver was like on 35 odd after the first Q l heard he got a heavy knock late in the first quarter that clearly affected him.
I didn't see much of the game.

Gawn had a mare he will come good.
I know Oliver scored decent in the first quarter and he did cop a decent hit... just stating that he just didn't appear his normal hard at it self (not a knock on the guy, just didn't seem as dominant or as powerful around the stoppage) I may have just been not giving Port enough credit (they were fantastic especially the kids), maybe he had a slightly off day coupled with the knock but I would be a fool to just ignore it completely IMO.

Not as worried about Gawn long term, just being prepared just incase all 3 premos who struggled Round 1 bomb again...
