Yep agree but think Gunston just had one of those days in front of goal (I hope) but can't afford to do that too often, missing shots right in front...

Rough looks like he's playing with a bit more freedom with the Captaincy already but think he looks his best when on the move; stints in the middle and roaming around high / half forward as still got quick hands and reflexes at ground level for a big bloke.

McEvoy, if Ceglar can hold his own in the ruck; I would play larger stints at Full Forward as a great pack mark and nice, accurate shot for goal..

Without the Captaincy pressure I mean sorry above...

He did look likely. The wind made it hard to judge anyone too much. He definitely was covering more ground than he did last year. For Lewis to play I reckon one of the rucks would have to miss out. Can't see that happening.
Or they might bring Lewis in for Connor Nash who was quite against Adelaide , his size and marking will stretch the dogs

I think Nash did more than Poppy to keep his spot and following week probably will be Morrison for Scully but tough call whoever goes out granted that...
poppy has more credits in the bank than Nash at this stage, but there is selection pressure coming from BH soon so reputations won’t save a player for too long this season, Harry jones , Hallorhan and Dylan Moore are all knocking the door down, plus Howe is best 22 When fit.

Potential for it to be a bit wet this weekend? If so, is ceglar replaced by someone more suited? If I recall correctly didn't Ceglar have a bad night in the wet against the tiges in the QF.

Oh it is a massive call as to who would get dropped for chad. I just feel poppy has the runs on the board and can be more damaging when on song. Early wins in the season prove so critical. Especially with the view that the kids (worps, cousins etc) will most likely drop off as the season progresses.

Adelaide away is always an 8 point game for us if we back it up with a game we should win. If chad plays, I just can’t see puopolo being dropped ahead of Nash in that forward position.

Based on logic and the way we bring back players, surely they would have him run in the 2s for half a game this week and 3 quarters next week?

He wasn’t expected until mid season by most accounts...

I would have thought a big debut for the club v the cats.

Could be wrong though...

Yeah I'm pretty surprised I must admit, but what I'm hearing he'll play this Sunday vs the Dogs.

I'm nervous about starting either of them (Scully/Wingard) at Marvel given the surface issues but a win here would put us in good stead for a great start to the season. The wobbly Saints and North to come after this one. Then Geelong and Carlton. 6-0 or 5-1 would be dream start.

We're at the G this week. :thumbsu:

5-1? You reckon we might lose to Carlton?

Dare I say it? This is a danger game.

The win against Adelaide was awesome, but the Doggies also played well.

Any drop in intensity or skills on our part might be costly.

Lets wait a few weeks before we start talking about 6-0.

Thx Lads. Woo Hoo bring on Wings and Scully. Had it in my head it was a Marvel game for some reason.

Dream start is on!
It originally was scheduled to be at Marvel, until we kicked up a stink over having 2 home games scheduled at Marvel, which caused the AFL to delay releasing the draw.

Agreed, Adelaide fans were saying the exact same things as us last week. Look what happened...

It would be a proud moment for the medical staff and of course our club. What a massive move given the circumstances involved in acquiring a player of this talent.

Your intel is clearly better than mine. I just rely on following our moves closely over the years. We are easily the most conservative club in the league insofar as injuries are concerned. 2014 spoke volumes...

maybe Gunners increase in innacuracy has coincided with an increase in match KM?

Has also had ITB issues - not 100% across how that affects kicking action etc but I’d imagine it couldn’t help?

Not sure who makes way for Scully and/or Wingard. The "like for like" options already in the side played well last week. Tough choice for the MC.
