Not sure who makes way for Scully and/or Wingard. The "like for like" options already in the side played well last week. Tough choice for the MC.

My guess is one will return this week and one the following,
they wont bring both in on reduced game time in the same game.
For mine nash is the like for like replacement for wingard role.

I expect one change this week very tough call scully in for scrimshaw

Agreed. Or Morrison for Scully.

Supposedly going to be decent rain in melbourne friday night/saturday morning, would this make the G wet come sunday arvo?

Even if Wingard isn’t 100% fit yet, he can just as easily play this week. Put him in the forward pocket for most of the game and he’ll still have an impact.
Exactly.

He's probably 100% fitter than Cyril was at the same stage last year.

Seeing wingod would be a royal bonus but as of right now im not expecting him to play Sunday. I do love a suprise though ;)

Hawks up to their usual tricks
Two injury reports on their website, one indicating Scully is a test and Wingard is 2 weeks away, other indicating Wingard is a test and Scully is 2 weeks away

Putting up stuff on the site and social media indicating Chad is close, saying Tom is close in the Report video but not in the article

I agree that it will be Wingard in this week and Scully in next week. I think it will be Wingard in for Nash and then next week it will be Scully in for Mirra with Hendo going into the backline with Scully on the wing.

Either way boys its not long now but until then we can only salivate at the thought of a Smith / Scully wing combo. Jeezus the thought of Sicily punting long bombs out from the kick outs to those 2 is enough to make a grown man cry. Pity we didn't have Cyril on the link up from there onwards. Would've been delicious!

im guessing it will be 1 change or no changes because that 4 quarter effort against the crows was pretty damn good.

loving all the 1% efforts, i think Kanga had an effect with his speech because everyone put in their best or close to their best last week, good signs...

as for the squad, im glad there is genuine pressure for spots in the team ( Lewis, Moore, Howe, Miles, Minchington, CJ, Greaves and Golds) as well as Wingard and Scully who will come into the side eventually. I think Walker is a good prospect as well and Kosi is a developing KPP.

You can watch Clarko's interview last night on here

Nice little snippet of him and Kennedy at the jumper presentation before the game as well

15 minutes in he comments on Wingard and Scully, doesn't rule out either of them coming straight into the senior side

Thanks for that, I missed it and am going to thoroughly enjoy watching it.

to be fair if the crows had've executed better in the 4th quarter they were largely dominating the play

poppy has more credits in the bank than Nash at this stage, but there is selection pressure coming from BH soon so reputations won’t save a player for too long this season, Harry jones , Hallorhan and Dylan Moore are all knocking the door down, plus Howe is best 22 When fit.
I wonder if Poppy has had “that discussion” with Clarko yet. Agree he is perhaps on thin ice but still applies that forward pressure despite not getting many kicks. Although a few more goals would be nice.

And on the Hawks website page In The Mix Round 2, it indicates Scully a chance to play, but no mention of Wingard. All reports so far are inconsistent.

we've had a lot more noise on the board about Scully playing this week than Wingard from posters. Most of the Wingard noise is coming from the media and the club's social media

Be interesting to see what happens

last week it seemed like Wingard was going to play, but now it seems the whispers were right and Scully will play, its confusing keeping up with all the rumours and smoke signals, but this is how it is...

as for inaccuracies in front of goal, thats just the rust from round 1 imo.

I feel Scully needs a run in box hill before he makes his hawks debut because of his prolonged absence from the game.
