Nothing strange about it. He was earmarked to play fwd only by ur club and with your 500 midfielders it didnt look like he would get mid time. Those other guys mentioned are either likely to play mid time or provide ruck cover. Nobody mentioned Lynch all that much.

Also his JLT games suggested he'd be playing high half forward, rather than deep.

Like all of us afflicted with Greene I am contemplating change (and a reassessment of my intelligence)

Again like all of us I was during preseason keen on Worpel (and Newman) but unlike some I don't have them in my lineup

I can't afford to go Greene to Worpel as I am 1500 short:

Which of these do people think is the least ridiculous method to facilitate going Greene to Worpel:

Balta to Cavarra
Cousins to Butters
Walsh to Butters
Williams to Newman
Brayshaw to Sloane
Scrimshaw to Joyce/Wilkie
Or go Greene to Newnes/Mathieson/Papley/Fisher/Higgins/A N Other Mid-pricer and save a trade leaving Worpel for another time?

Question - I haven't seen Dahlhaus mentioned once all preseason, why? Heap of campaigners are going with Billings for example who is $20K more expensive and has only averaged over 90 once, whereas Dahlhaus has done it 4 out of the past 5 seasons - the only one he didn't was last year when he clearly didn't give a shit.

New club, renewed hunger, proven SC player, $418K...what gives?

Think people are worrying about Danger, Selwood, Ablett, Duncan, Menegola and Kelly soaking up heaps of points, leaving the rest of both teams scrabbling for not much. Much less competition for points if playing for a weaker team, but being in a strong team increases his chances of more consistent involvement.

JLT's were good, and he doesn't mind tackling, which is always a plus.

Unecessary burning of trades this early in the season imo. Why did you pick Grundy? If you have cover for Collins you hold and see how Grundy goes tonight. A 120 beckons against us especially now that Nank has no named support.

All looks really good except for the two expensive bench spots taken by O’Brien and Duman. Trade both of them out now, and bring in Drew to play on field in your fwds, and bring in Hore to be on field in your backs.

Then next week we’ll use that cash banked to upgrade Cousins in the mids I’d say

If he flops again get rid of Collins so u definitely have the spare trades next week.

Very rash on Grundy, especially given there are no price changes this week.

If you need to make rookie corrections and can foresee more changes being needed next week it can be worth the risk to make some trades, but with premos it'd be better to give them more time to right themselves.

And if you don't have Duursma/Joyce/Wilkie i'd choose them over Ridley to save some coin.

Gawn's tap output was halved on the weekend, you think it will be halved again - against a spud like Stanley? No, it will be increased on his 2018 average and around 50 hit outs. Oliver will be sharking most of those hits outs. Move Oliver on at your own peril, but don't come back whinging to Cold Sober when Oliver hits 130 plus. Fyfe only played North last week. I could probably score 150 against North and I'm half way finished.
