Sydney jump out of the blocks, hold us, and win by 26.

Haha this is the other option for what happens given its a classic Sydney move against us.

I'd go as far to say if this is what will happen, Sydney will be up by 30-40 at quarter time. We'll slowly peg that back over the remaining 3 quarters to lose by 15 while kicking 8.15 to the Swans 6.3

Hello everyone. My main hope for a Swans victory is that Talia develops some sort of PTSD when he sees Buddy, and also half your team gets gastro. If that happens I will feel moderately confident of a Swans win.
Did you happen to watch the last game against these 2, pretty sure Talia was close to BOG.

That PTSD may be felt the other way!

I reckon we'll paper over some cracks today. That paper will only last a few weeks but our coaches will deem our backed in response a huge success.

Crows by 37

I have a strange feeling that Gibbs will be the litmus paper tonight: if he plays like the last two weeks, we will lose; if he rediscovers "normal" form, we will win. The other factor will be the ground conditions: how will we go if it is the expected mud heap?

Rather liked your first thought better, thank you

We are traditionally quite good in the wet, especially with both Crouch bros playing! Doubt those Ballarat Mudlarks ever played a dry weather footy game in their life before joining the Cows!

Im sure Talia will take Buddy but i hope Keath gets some time on him as well. Besides the obvious issues of experience and weight, he just feels like a good match up for him. Or maybe im channeling too much Neil Craig

The small ground has favoured Crows in the past. The mids will have to smash them, then we can win from there. Good thing about small grounds is that you can cover gaps and lack of pace in your team. Doubt this will be a great game to watch. Crows by 12.

Keath would be the better athletic match for him. But you're right Talia will likely get first crack!

Or we could just give him the Joel Selwood treatment and send Riley Knight to piss him off all day. Its not like he's gonna beat you with contested marks!

In fact i'd like to see him do that just for fun!

I genuinely think we can and should win... but I thought that about last week so it's hard to be confident

I thought we would win going away in the 4th last week---this week, I will be pacing the living room floor in the morning. This is a very important game early in season

After last week’s performance, who knows what we will get tonight.
IMHO our main problem last week wasn’t
- Team Selection (swapping Mackay for McHenry would not have propelled us to victory).
- Game Plan (as poorly as we were playing we did hit the front in the second quarter).
- Clueless coaches, no Plan B would have worked because

Our best players kept dropping easy marks, fumbling ground ball, kicking and handballing to the Hawks. Why did this happen? I have NFI, our skills looked good in the JLTs. IMHO it was not the Hawks game plan or pressure, many of the blunders happened under zero pressure.

In a strange way, a bit of rain won’t hurt us if we are willing to get down and dirty. I have no idea what we will serve up tonight, it will be all about attitude not personnel.

I will be more than happy with an ugly, scappy one point win.

Go you (occasionally) Mighty Adelaide Crows!!!
