The initial intent was to have him play at some point, given that is unlikely considering the "rebuild", nah, allows him to be right and rejoin or if not allows another to grow into it, not like hanners is just going go "well I don't have the title, now I'm not going to try" now is it?

Amature was the statement that they didn't really do diligence in the first instance to know how bad thigns might be with his body.
They did 4 medicals. Go to SEN website and listen to what sam Mclure has to say about the bullshit that we didn't do due diligence.

Must you be so emotive?

“To some extent he needs to be rebuilt."
“Did we think it was going to be as significant as this? No, we didn’t.
“But we did know that we were getting in a bloke that we needed, to some extent, to rebuild. Probably not to this extent, but that’s OK.

Direct from AR. Not saying nothing was done, in fact, said it was revised inferring that escalation occurred to answer your first point of "why put him in, then take him out".

Secondly, did not state no medicals had occurred, again, inferred that we were conservative instead of proactive and the above quotes denote some level of surprise by the team denoting the plan potentially was not enacted with the speed required to catch it early. Diligence, not medicals.

Hannebury is stressed and not sleeping. Sleep aids recovery. Not sure what else there is to understand. Seems sensible to rest him from the leadership group. I thought he sounded a bit rattled in the C7 interview I saw. Hope he isn’t also developing mental health problems.

Back in the glare of the Melbourne media spotlight is probably something he is not used to. Anonymous in Sydney.

Semantics.

Semantics.

Yup, but then I also remember trying to rebuild JWS and him retiring with bung ankles.

So I hope we would have learned not to take the conservative effort in those medicals to make informed decisions that we might need to rebuild fully instead of being surprised that we have to, that is seemingly the case.

I consider that a failure we are rectifying.

Amazing that on the weekend West Coast had 9 of their team who had less than 10 disposals, then another who had 10, two who had 11, and someone else with 12.

So 13 of their 22 had 12 disposals or less! Hangover anyone!?

They are not the team most likely to have won a GF. There are some similarities to the dogs, pinching one out of the blue.

Pies three goals up but really outplaying the Tigers.
Dusty with a few clangers.
No Rance, no Richmond?

Collingwood controlled it but mostly pissing around in defensive half. if the umpires turned up and deGoey wasn't so damn accurate it could have been a very different story. I count maybe 4 goals direct errors by umpires, two obvious frees directly infronto goal for Rich due to Steele's basketball tendencies, then ironic free for Coll directly in front the other way. So Rich would have been in front in last term after all the Coll posession and would have been a very different final term. Free kick count 25 to 9...I smell a class action suit with us.

On an unrelated note, the decision to let Cunnington off is the stupidest decision I have seen for a while (probably because it has been off season). Hitting someone 100 metres from the ball when the ball is not even coming your way is out of bounds. No king hits sure, but that is next. If you get hit with no expectation of being hit, you will go down. Free kick is never paid, so it is a free kick for the guy doing the hitting, where is the disincentive? I saw Goose get felled by that thug Hall 150 metres from the ball, goose was vomitting as Hall strides into an open goal, Sydney win and we miss the GF...and Hall is let off to play in the GF. Players have a duty of care to one another, if u hit someone for no reason off the ball, it is clear the other player is not flopping (which is obvious when they are not expecting it) you should get 4 weeks. End of. Make them accountable. Cox just hit Grimes like that, now probably Grimes will go for retalliation. Michael Christian's explanation on afl site just stated that he couldn't change the grading due to the laws of game, he seemed uncomfortable, not his fault, change the standards, it is a disgrace.

Hardwick must have been taking the p**** playing Jack Reiwoldt in the ruck against Mason Cox
Jack out for 8 weeks they think. Scaphoid bone in the wrist. Very slow healing injury. I know because I broke mine back in my Rugby days. Season over. Richmond in a fair bit of trouble now you would think. Opportunity knocks.

It's always amazing how things can go very badly pear shaped so quickly......us with Roo in 2010 but we recovered.

Jack this week.....Rance last week....2 of their best 4(IMO) …....gone.

You obviously grab yr chance when you can like they did in 2017.

They may not get to the big dance again with this group......you just never know!

Sad to hear about Sidebottom...…..used to love watching him play at his peak.....he was very serviceable......but no out and out star from memory.

Wow, I've only just seen the score in the Richmond-Collingwood game. That was a bit of a belting for the Tigers.

“We think Mav will fit into our team and our football program really well,” Richmond football manager Neil Balme said.
Our supporters on big footy have been begging for a whipping boy since Vickery left, and its not been a good situation that they've needed to criticise some guys who are really quite competent like Anthony Miles and Reece Conca.

Meanwhile at the StKilda board, the team is suffering for its loss with much disarray, fighting over substandard whipping boys such as Jack Lonie , Luke Dunstan the team Captain, Geary or even the GOAT , Acres.
We really need at least one substandard player who gets selected each week to complain about, moaned one popular BF Saints member.

They are not happy with Weller on the Richmond autopsy thread. Some saying they've seen enough of him already: :D

"Shit house performance markov and Weller never to play again". Oooft
His thread over there reads the same as this board used to

I actually texted the beauts at SEN this morning...you know the same ones who lambasted the Saints for delisting a player who was obviously good enough to play for the mighty Tigers.

Asked them if they’d seen his two games so far.

Crickets in response.
