Theory

AFL is pushing the home team dark shorts policy so when Collingwood wear white at home in the future they always have priority to pair the jumper with black shorts.

Will be fun for Fremantle in that case as to what they would wear away to a white shirt black shorts Collingwood (as they usually always match shirt to shorts)

Surely not, they pushed North and Geelong to wear white shorts hence why North had a dummy spit and changed their guernsey....

Lets iintroduce white (shorts) to a match up against a team who has white as a colour. Ffs. Its not hard.

Geelong have wore white shorts home and away for majority of last few seasons. If they do that tonight its white and blue hoops (white shorts) versus blue and red (blue shorts).

I reckon Geelong have kicked up a stink about wearing white shorts in home games. I thought their JLT game against Essendon was just one of those pre-season anomalies, but on recent history, there is no reason for this matchup unless Geelong sooked.

Prepare to see this all year. Its not the worst right now, but there will be some awful matchups if this becomes the norm.

How is it doing a North?

North weren’t allowed to wear blue shorts with their white guernsey.
North chucked a fruity about being told to wear white shorts with their old home jumper, hence why they changed to the royal jumper with white stripes. My post was if Geelong have had a similar fruity.

I know about it, you bang on about it all the time.

But what you said doesn’t make sense. North wanted to wear dark shorts at home and weren’t allowed. If anything, this is Geelong getting preferential treatment over them.

If they are allowed to continue wearing dark shorts at home, I hope the Roos revert back to their proper guernsey and do the same.

What I said - and what Crow28 said - makes perfect sense. We both have the same opinion on the matter - that Geelong MAY have cracked a fruity like North did about not being allowed to wear dark shorts at home and being told to wear white shorts. How does that not make sense.... *scratches head*

Only other theory is that Melbourne have done a Brisbane.

TBH watching the highlights i kinda feel like it's more Melbourne deciding to wear white shorts - don't feel like blue shorts + redback goes well.

Also anyone have photos of the port-carlton game?
I'm leaning towards that as well - hence the "pulling the Brisbane" comment as they don't have coloured away shorts.

Severe clash at half time!
