Skully to rip them to shreds.
Goodnight bulldogs, your season is done.

There is no doubt about Nash’s defensive game or his overall talent but if he has any place in this team going forward he really does need to start hitting the scoreboard.
What if he ended with 4x tackles Inside F50m, 4x goal assists & 9x score involvements, whilst his opponent ended with 15 disposals.

Would he have needed to hit the score board that day?

Screw the cliche's, win this and forget about next week. We'll all be looking forward to next month and aiming for a 6 and zip start coming into May.
With Melbourne and Sydney faltering, Richmond finally having some injuries and after today, GWS looking decidedly run of the mill, we will look in very good shape with Chad to come in to the line up.

Good Luck to Scully, may you remain resilient and pull on the hallowed jumper +150 times.

I reckon a few other so-called experienced forwards could also take that advice on board..

Last year we were in so many games to put sides away then miss shots from 30 - 40 meters out from goal such as Rough, Breust, Gunston etc that really costs us in key moments and then deflates the side when they miss. It is very frustrating.

McEvoy, I would play this year more time as a Full Forward if Ceglar plays his A game as he takes a big strong mark and kicks straight more often than not!

He then in turn, also takes enormous pressure of Rough, Gunston etc having that big boy presence...

Overall talent I'm yet to see... looks like an elite athlete with elite tackling from a rugby background trying to play Aussie rules. If he could kick it would help.

Despite my concerns I hope the kid impacts the game today, he'll get his chances.

Bring the same intensity and discipline as last week and we will be hard to beat.

The Dogs don’t have a great forward line so there mids will have to really dominate and kick goals (which they can definitely do).

Must target Doc and Suckling as both can go to water under pressure.

Reasonably confident, but Bulldogs also had a good win last week so won't be easy. Absolutely stunned Scully is lining up. Did not see that coming! Will be fascinating to see how he goes. Can forgive him if he's a little rusty given lack of match fitness.

Break near even across the midfield and I think we cover them around the rest of the ground .
Last week when the Swans applied some pressure briefly I thought the Dogs really struggled to handle it.

Great to see Scully in , just hope he gets through the game . Think we will see his true value to us in 3-4 games time .

Think it’ll be tight for the most part but Hawks by 15

Hitting the Corner at midday for some heart starters. Can't wait for this one. Carn the hawks. So pumped for Skull.

Priorities: No injuries; 30 point win; Scully to do a couple of good things that show he's still got it; Scrimshaw to do a few things that show why he was a first-rounder; with Wingard and Howe knocking, those players who are at risk to show why they belong ....

No he doesn't, he has to cause the scoreboard to be hit. It's amazing how many people mistake these two situations. If he is involved in one third of our goals, he's had a great game. If he causes a turnover in our fwd fifty just by someone yelling "get him Conor!" and a kick is rushed, he's had a great game. Cyril used to cause turnovers just by being around, guys panic. Yes he hit the scoreboard, but as long as the scoreboard is HIT because of Nash, he doesn't need to do it himself.

Unlike our glory years 2011-2016, we cannot afford any of players to be off their game. We simply do not have the high end talent to cover holes.

If every player delivers and has an influence when it is their turn and breaks even at a minimum then we win this game well.

Opening rounds set up seasons and they provide a buffer for the inevitable periods when the going gets tough.

I’m confident we can grind it out over four quarters today.
