It's not always about necessarily the players that leave or don't! It's about extracting the very best from each individual so naturally the team benefits!
I'm just saying that even before last years debacle, we haven't looked the happiest group going around!
This year is the first time i'm sensing a more complete buy in from the whole group!

I thought things were going great in 2016 when we doubled our wins and not bad for most of 2017.

Clark would have to go close but for whom? It's also the kinda game/ground where i wouldn't mind seeing Hind get a run but it appears he may
Have to bide his time! Have no doubt that Long belongs in our best side also but after last weeks win barring injuries i don't see any changes!

I don't see us making any changes. Hunter stiff to miss out but the whole team performed well last week so I cant see anyone making way.
Should be a melt-free evening.

Pretty handy. OMac can look very shaky at times and Frost has terrible decision making. But one week at a time and all that.

Absolutely- 1.week at a time....

But I'm liking how things seem to be working.

No daniher or hooker for methendon.

No fyfe for freo *

No shiels or burgoyne for hawks

No may for dees

* the fyfe one may be wishful thinking only

I expect no changes

Guys like like Hunter , Long , Marsh , Joyce , Austin , Paton , Phillips , Hind , Young , White , Coffield , Longer , Langlands will all get a chance this year due to injury.

Someone needs to explain this hunter thing. It’s bloody confusing

Actually it would be quite pleasant, like it used to be.

When was this posting utopia you speak of? When we were winning there was less of a combative vibe but realistically even then it kind of resembled a pack of monkeys throwing faeces at each other. It's a sign of ageing, getting nostalgic about the good old days. "Remember the days when you'd get polio for breakfast and pleurisy for lunch, that put hair on you chest."

I like Kent and thought he looked great in the JLT. But if he doesn’t improve this week he should be on the outer imho

Especially with Long not in the side.

But I’m happy if we go in unchanged this week
Isn't it good we now have these options?

Fair enough. Either Mick has a time machine or Ross chewed Fyfe out after we won by 82 points in round 1. Seems legit.

There are plenty, PLENTY of reasons to criticise Lyon without needing to invent ones. Good luck on the weekend.

When the captain who many consider to be one of his favourites comes out as is as scathing on the coach that Richo himself admitted it's normally a reflection
of a wider group! Many have considered him to be far too critical and negative rather than focussing on players strengths in order to give them confidence!

I'd say we have had one of the biggest list turn overs of any side in the comp. I don't think there is anyone but Armo, Geary and Stuv left from the 2010 GF list and a good portion of what we have is from the last 5 years. I think we have 6 from 2013 from a quick scan and one is Roberton who is likely gone.

And what does that mean as far not being the happiest group or the coach getting the best out of his players or as this strarted richo has more favourites than most other coaches?

You said we hadn't lost any players. If they weren't played at a bottom side they weren't getting a gig anywhere else. I'd say under Richo we have lost a lot of players.

The topic was about disgruntled players so can you tell me who we have lost because of that. Not delisted or players we chose to trade. Obviously we have lost plenty of players in 5 years. Nearly every club has but that wasn’t the discussion

What about the Captain Plugs?
Many consider him to be one of these favourites yet we heard what he said about the coaches methods and what it had been doing to morale!
If Richo himself can suck it up and take it on board, why can't you?

Firstly because you have completely changed the topic. Have a look at the first post and tell me what has that got to do with geary saying what he said. I thought we were talking about richo having more favourites than most coaches. And on that geary said that about last year. You were the one who said we haven’t looked happy for a few years. Not sure how anyone would know that by the way.

It's all to do with the same thing! Harmony at the club if you will!
I think in 14 and 15 especially everyone seemed on the same page! Somewhere during the 2nd half of 16 the mood changed!
Rooey and Joey have alluded to such! Obviously i don't know for absolute sure, but i thought that's what we were doing on here!
Making our own observations from what we see! Naturally it's in the eye of the beholder. so doesn't mean you or anyone else for that matter has to agree!

Want to see Hunter Clark in the team but don’t really want to drop anyone. Solutions?
I'd say Gilbert, Maister and Delaney out for
Clark, Long and Coffield! :flushed:

Now that's how to make a completely useless post and get away with it! :moustache:
