No idea why they are continuing to play fog back in defence.. hes getting towelled up.. and if he gets towelled up there in the SANFL then he’ll get slaughtered in the AFL..

So the experiment is a failure.. put him back in the forward line..
After a single game? **** me the sky must be falling!

Do people recall Nathan Bock’s SANFL I think it was a PF when he got toweled up, destroyed, chewed up and spat out. Had an absolutely nightmare. Turned into a pretty good player before injuries got the better of him.

Nah, not for mine. Fog is a forward.

That’s two games in a row I’ve watched that he’s been towelled up down back.. and he looks completely disinterested in it too so it’s not gonna happen.

He's a forward, a special one at that.

So play him there.

Or we could play him forward. You know. First rounder, elite forward prospect.

So was Matthew Pavlich but he only became a great forward at AFL level after spending a year or two in defense.
Not everyone is Matthew Pavlich.

The experiment isn't working and we are in dire need of a forward.... And you want to keep him in defence.

Utter madness.

I just checked out this McBean on YouTube and he is a tall big guy . I’m gathering Fog played a key defensive post and that he is not . He is not that tall Fog a 189cm that should be intercepting and jumping in front of the tall key forwards plus creating play . He should not be the main pillar in defense .

Same height as Tex Walker actually 193cm

Fogarty’s has two major deficiencies that need development, aerobic fitness base and he does not find the footy enough. Playing him in the backline will allow him to develop those aspects of his game more than if he was played as a forward with a defender constantly on his back.

For the record, I think he is a great forward prospect but he needs to get MUCH fitter and he needs to develop his ball getting ability. In the long run, playing games this early in his career in defense will help his development. It’s not about here and now but the long terms with these kids.
