I have a theory that there is something wrong with him physically, apart from form. I suggested this after JLT2. Nothing much has changed since then, but he doesn't look as well as he should.
Then why are we playing him in the sanfl?

Never thought the club's balls would be big enough to drop him - especially this early in the season. A big signal to the rest of the group, maybe?

All well and good to send a message but it seems said message didn’t quite get delivered successfully to our entire forward line, which of course is apt.

In that case we would have made up some bogus niggle as the reason why he’s out and not play him in the SANFL.

How will we mark his performances in the SANFL. CEY and Poholke were racking up big possession games and banging the door down. Is a Bryce Gibbs average game good enough to get him back ?

Port Adelaide great Kane Cornes labelled it the ‘worst 27 possession game’ he’d ever seen in the aftermath — and it turns out the Crows agree, axing the former Blue just three games into 2019.

Pyke said Gibbs — who finished 4th in the 2018 Malcolm Blight Medal — hasn’t been performing at the required level and the Crows had to reward the form of big-bodied midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen.

“Bryce’s form has been patchy and not at the usual consistent high standard that both he and we expect,” Pyke told afc.com.au on Thursday night.

“We operate in an environment where we must reward people for strong performances and from a midfield perspective Cam Ellis-Yolmen has been consistently doing that.”

Serious question - does he go back and play for Glenelg this weekend because of his previous alignment? Or is every player now sent to the Crows SANFL side?

Serious question, does he go back and play for the Northern Blues because of his previous alignment?

Since 2014 every Crows and Port player plays in their team's reserves side.

Gibbs will be playing at Woodville Oval tomorrow for the Crows reserves against WWT Eagles.

He will feel like he is back at Carlton with the lack of interest by everyone outside of Crows supporters.

He has been made a scape goat. There has been far worse players than him who needed to go first. Mackay, Kelly for example.
Kelly may or may not be AFL standard but he works his backside off. For whatever reason, I think half the squad are down on confidence and/or form. For me, the biggest moment for Bryce last week was the 50-m penalty when he "leisurely" jogged forward, and his teammates called out to hurry up. Didn't look good. Where's the fire, the competitiveness, the hunger. Sadly, some of our players are going through the motions. I would have liked to have seen Atkins lose his spot but dropping Gibbs is definitely a louder statement.

That's like walking into bull judging contest, wearing a red suit .....I can hear the herd coming for you now .....ugly place this

Bit rich coming from a bloke that supports a team coached by the laughing boy Brendon Bolton coming off a 2018 win percentage of 9.09% and currently batting at 00.00% in 2019.
