Wow....did u watch the first 4 rounds of 2019 ??? . ...Crows couldnt win a game if it was rigged.
Your still sucking down that cool aid.
We look good if the opposition allow us to play our game style and the players will gain confidence from it if that's allow to happen, and Port Power's game style does allow us to play it.

In the first half our inside 50 conversion was ridiculously high and coupled with North’s hopeless conversion inflated our position.

They smashed us for inside 50s from the get go and in the second half they converted and our efficiency

I don’t blame our forwards for this loss even though they were average, I blame our midfield and run from defence.

We were flogged in clearances, our midfield was shit.

Everyone is bagging Tex but Sloane was non-existent.

Our run and ball movement is slow slow slow. The opposition just know how to stop us.

Our movement our of defence and from a kick in disgusting. Can someone tell me what the purpose of kicking to someone 15 metres away from a kick out instead of moving the ball quickly and getting more penetration? The player taking the mark needs to go back to take his kick, he’s actually in a worse position than the player taking the kick in. It leads to stagnant movement. I just don’t get it.

And our team selections this week were just dumb, they made us slower.

Yeah, it’s a little hard to judge what to make of the forwards when we were so roundly beaten in the midfield.

I actually thought Walker was showing signs of working back into form. Hit a few superb passes, set up a few goals from nothing and genuinely clunked a couple of grabs. Needs to do more, no doubt, but I thought an improvement on the past couple of games.

The issues lie with a coaching staff who’s gameplan has been completely and utterly been rendered useless and whom have no idea what to do next.

Selection smacks of taking the “safe” options, guys who will do okay, try hard, but ultimately are average players. There’s no vision of what we want our best 22 to look like, or at least no confidence or courage to drop an average player playing okay, so we can actually achieve this.

This is happening to the point that we’re cycling Brad Crouch, Sloane, Seedsman, Gibbs and Milera again through the forward line just so we can fit Mackay in the side.

We’ve essentially stacked our side with unimaginative, average role players whom rely on gameplan for success. The gameplan is failing and low and behold they don’t have the ability to innovate or adapt.

The only good to come out of this loss is that at least we can’t say everything’s “fine and dandy” after beating up on a cellar dweller. The only hope is that we can actually act now and perhaps save a season where we should be absolute challengers.

We won’t though, unfortunately we’re in essentially the same position we were at the end of Craig’s reign. Sando came in as a breath of fresh air only to be a one trick pony, Walsh appeared like taking us on the right path, but tragedy occurred their and we’ve gone back to the biggest Neil Craig clone we could find. We’ve even got close to the same assistants panel he had towards the end (Campo, Hart and Clarke), with the other 2 being essentially in their 1st year as AFL assistants.

It was always going to be a tough gig for Pyke coming in after what happened, and I think he was a good choice, unfortunately it appears increasingly like he’s run his race.

It’s odd, that for a club who’s only premierships came after making some absolutely brutal list management decisions, we’re just so friggen conservative and unable to move on from one man’ influence on our club in Neil Craig.

Oh. My. God. Kill. That. Team. With. Fire.

SLOW - Why the T**ty**** are we so slow? Not just in our ****ing cruiseship-filled list but in our ball movement as well. Every ****ing time we got the ball we just held it up And then booted it down the line anyway except bow North had numbers.

SWITCH- this is the gameplan. It's so obvious that Pyke has come up with a policy of 'switch the ball or else'. It worked great one time when we released quick and campaigners ran for it.

Then every other time we kept chipping it around the back 50, realised nothing was on and and just booted down the line anyway.

Chips - maybe it's because we have the fattest and least fit list in the code but there is a ****ing unhealthy obsession with chip kicks. We would go 6 little tiny 15m chips but half of them are backwards so we didnt actually gain anything, so then we just bombed it down or even better, went for that 7th chip kick into the corridor and hit up a roo.

PLAYERS - Jenkins is the softest campaigner ever.
Tex can't read the ball off the boot anymore.
Lynch may as ****ing well jerk it midgame.
Hartigan is actually the worst defender Ive ever seen. He struggles to do anything right.
Kelly is the least inspiring player ever. His biggest contribution was giving us a laugh as he laid into Tarryn Thomas. His ceiling potential is doing 15m kicks sideways.

Coach - **** you Don. You are the biggest piece of shit. The excuses have run out, now all that is left is the reality that you are outcoached by everyone except Horse who is also stuck in his ways. You don't adapt, you dont change. You let opposition teams have so much space and time because you trust in your plan A and expect us to always have the game on our terms.

Speaking of space and time - why the **** did we get caught HTB so often
Either players aren't talking or they aren't listening.

The team looks deflated and devoid of effort. I think they want Pyke out. **** him off whilst we still have a season to salvage dont wait for week 18 when its cooked.

**** you Board, **** you Chairman, **** you Roo, **** you Kane Cornes you smug little ****.

Looking back....as bad as 2018 was...we still won games without Lynch, Jenkins and Walker in the side....who all had issues early last year. There in lies the problem.
Its become apparent Greenwood, Brown, Doedee and Gullucci are a lot more important to our team than the above aging "stars"
Can probably add Fog to that list as Jenkins is giving us NOTHING

I think Pyke knows he is in trouble and is daring them to get rid of him. Any decent coach would see that they must try something different to improve the side. He has lost the players, it occurred during the match up in Alice Springs last year. Look at him in the box as well, he is clueless. Lets be honest, he will be gone by season end.

Yeah, doesn’t exactly have the history of “sticking to it” when it comes to coaching. 2 years at a club was it for Pyke prior to head coach with us.

If things go sour this year, can’t see him hanging around too long. The only hope is we would send the biggest broom through the club we can find. Hell, can we hire Blighty for a week?

We look good if the opposition allow us to play our game style and the players will gain confidence from it if that's allow to happen, and Port Power's game style does allow us to play it.
So its the oppositions fault we are so shit ???.....thats a relief....2 more wins for the year then....both against Port....who apparently wont try to stop us playing unaccountable, soft, sloppy, bruise free football.
Yay !!!!

I would hire Blight to do Burton's job. Could the club handle blight's honesty? It ****ing needs too.

Both clubs are shit but at least we will beat Port Power, after that we can pay-out Pyke.

Fantastic post.....bloody spot on.

You know what absolutely blows my f***ing mind.

Is that Pyke started CEY every quarter in the centre square over Brad Crouch. Every f***ing quarter, for significant periods as well.

You know the guy averaging 29.6 possessions and 1.33 goals a game, arguably our best player, being replaced by the journeyman borderline SANFL / AFL player.

I don't think the list is the major problem, if teams let us play our game plan we will win and look good doing it. If not, we don't want to try as hard, this is on Pyke why the players are reacting like this.
No we can’t play our game because the players aren’t capable. It requires accurate kicking and huge physical inputs. We’re not capable of this now.

We need to reset and start this year again. Douse the 1st 22 whiteboard in kero and set it alight.

22 from next week is:
B: Laird - Talia - Otten
HB: Smith - Keath - Milera
C: Atkins - M.Crouch - Lynch
HF: McHenry - Walker - Stengle
F: Betts - Himmelberg - Fogarty
1R: O’Brien - B. Crouch - Sloane
I: Greenwood - Gibbs - Gallucci - Wilson

Out: Jones (Concussion), Mackay, Hartigan, Kelly, Jenkins, Murphy, Knight, CEY, Poholke
In: Greenwood, Gibbs, Gallucci, Wilson, Fogarty, McHenry, Stengle, Otten, Himmelberg

Just put a bomb under our starting 22 and start again.

Brad Crouch in a back pocket. LOL.

I did see that CEY had a game high30 pressure acts. Which was impressive.

Can be best summed up with: We are an average team, coached by an average bunch who are managed by yes men answerable to a board that doesn't have a ****ing clue.

I am not talking about this possession football we saw tonight which we tried to use when the opposition setup to block our space (instead of kicking down the line like we did against the Hawks), I am talking about the quick change the angle we played a bit of against Geelong as they allow us to do it for some occasion. We can only play like this if opposition allows our players to run into the space.

They play with more heart....and recruit better than the Crows though.
Rozee kicked 5 in his 3rd game....our senoir forward line....who said they would repond this week (big words against the bottom team on the ladder with zero wins) cant hit the side of a barn.
Everyone bays Port. ...but they are a MUCH more genuine and honest club than the AFC.....just let that sink in for a bit yeah....

It's pretty easy to recruit better when they constantly have access to higher draft picks - at pick #5 Rozee was a no-brainer - he's that good even Port will struggle to stuff him up.

I like Jones but we seemed to be asleep at the wheel last trade period while we let Port's little brother syndrome beat us to the best SA talent as well as higher picks just before ours in the first round.

Otten No. ROB No. Betts No. Lynch No. Davis In. Sholl in Hamill in Jenkins in (ruck until we trade in a better option end of the year ).
