I think we are in for a world of hurt, not only Monday, but the next 6 weeks after that. Especially due to injuries and blokes who are just off.

Geel - loss
Carl - 50/50
Melb - loss
GWS - loss
Rich - loss
PA - 50/50
Bris - loss

Not looking good. I'm having trouble finding a win there.

I would hope we can find at least 3 wins in the next 7 games, that would have us with at least 5 wins after Round 11 which isn't the end of the world and hopefully a better run with injuries in the 2nd half of the season to try and sneak into the 8.

No mention of O’Meara on the injury report at all.
Don’t think we’ll see Stratton either. Jaeger would wanna be playing

Geelong people on the main board are cocky as hell given the game hasn't been played yet. They clearly sense weakness in the Hawks and are sneering, preening, and haughty (more than usual).

I am reminded of how much i care about beating Geelong.

We're favourites to beat Carlton in Tassie people, it's not a certainty but you can't call it a 50/50.

Hawthorn has won 46 games out of 60 played at York Park. On the other hand, Hawthorn did lose the last game it played in Tasmania, to Brisbane.

I think i'll go into hibernation for the winter starting easter sunday

The "Wolf Pack"..?? Really...??

I just threw up in my mouth.

w***ers.

We have had a shocker last 3 weeks, and we are only one match and percentage from top of the ladder. St Kilda did not impress me at all and have won three games and sitting 5th (technically, equal top...). I recognize we are facing a tough month, but I honestly think we can gel more as a group and come home like a steam train during back end of the season. Our new recruits will only get better with time together with the boys.

This week its a tough ask given the injuries we have, but we could still push them right to the line, and with a bit of luck maybe get over them. I am looking for:
1. Manic intensity and tackle pressure around the ball.
2. Improved ball use (nothing flash, just some better decisions).
3. A four-quarter effort.

We deliver those three things - we will be right in it.

Go Hawks!!

No mention of Smith either.

Haven’t seen one person who’s said he should be dropped. A few (me included) who’ve said he’s struggling or playing poorly and under pressure to lift.
But that s pretty obvious isn’t it?

Are you saying he’s doing well ?
No worse than any number of other senior players in the side.

Out frawley, mirra, ceglar

In brand , o'meara and miles even though I personally don't rate him highly we seriously need some more zip and creativity.

And they have good reason to be. This will be the weakest lineup we’ll have against the cats for about 10 years.

Not expecting much. Hope I’m wrong.

I hope Miles comes in too. And I hope he changes your mind on him daniel23.

He is a class above in the VFL, playing as a back field creator who cuts through lines with his run and laser passes. I agree with you he could be a pretty handy inclusion given our ball movement on the weekend.

Oh yeah well you'll NEVER get over the 2008 GF or the 2013 Prelim because we own your shit club #whenitmatters

Don't mind me folks just getting in some practice early

Just imagine the premierships Gary ABlett senior and Junior wold have won, if only dad had stayed at the hawks. Glad he didn't though, Uncle Fester doesn't fit well on the team sheet.

Very fudgey response. I guess it depends what you means by “any number”. I’d say over recent weeks there’s probably no more than 2 or 3 who’ve perhaps performed worse than Stratts.
But no ones saying drop him - after all he’s our captain. We all know he’s got the ability and record to get back into form. But he’s going to have to do that fairly quickly because the team needs him. No better test than manning up on Danger next Monday assuming he’s right to play.

Massive LOL's at all you pea hearts who have written off the club.

Has anyone actually written off the club ? I think we'll be back in the Premiership conversation in the next 12-24 months, but as for this season we'll be lucky to play finals.

Brand can play Frawley's role and I don't think thats a massive loss. O'Meara in for cousins if injured or morrison. Unlikely stratton will play this week i reckon in this day and age. Mirra probably gets another week in strattons role and then bring in O'Brien or miles depending on what clarko thinks the best gameplan is. Wouldn't even be surprised to see Ceglar get dropped.
