I can’t go into detail but you’d be surprised by the dirty pool played by port that screwed over the sanfl releasing some of the shackles.
Go on.

The obvious solution to this issue is to have co-captains.Our leaders don’t step up in big moments. We have lost so many games under 10 points since Hinkley came along. ...

Your not alone mate it hurts to say.I did not renew my 11 game membership after over 40 years of supporting the PAFC, so did my mate also a 40+ year member.
We got a 3 gamer so at least I can catch up with some buddies a few times this year.
If there seems a good worthwhile game we can always get tickets at the gate.
I have been worn down (again) and last year's collapse was the final straw. I got sick of leaving games angry and stressed.
Even if we won it felt like a loss.
I don't like appreciate being told I'm not a "loyal" supporter because I don't keep pissing money and weekends away when my club is clearly heading down shit creek with no captain and no rudder and as i see it no chance of change anytime soon.
40+ years of paying and attending games is not a snowflake, armchair supporter.
I *will* get my full membership again but only after I see changes at my club, underachieving, stubborn, arrogant, lazy losers booted out, a game plan that is robust, brave and exciting - even if we lose at the end of the day I *need* to know we have tried.
(I guess Richo would not like to hear all that though, and I'm not on twitter)
If only the club could get a high-performing intergenerational engagement specialist on the board the more mature members like us wouldn't feel so left out. This request for feedback only seems to be on Twitter. No email??
If so then Matthew is cutting out many of us middle-aged respondents (just turned 70yo) [emoji41]
Though highly computer literate I don't do twits as a rule, and don't know any country people that do.

Not having a go at you PA but this is where we have gone wrong. Our leaders don’t step up in big moments. I’ve have lost so many games under 10 points since Hinkley came along. Win most of them and we would had played finals every year.
In the end a 4 year contract for an underperforming coach was always a mistake
To recap:
• “Little club from Alberton” [Koch]
• “All of them significantly bigger than us” [Thomas]
• “Port Adelaide has always punched above its weight” [Thomas]
• “No-one was complaining when we won five in a row” [Lade]
• “At 11-4 Ken was a superhero” [Koch]
• “There is absolutely no doubt in my mind. This is the best win I’ve been involved with at Port Adelaide, including finals.” [Hinkley]
• “We’ve got a long way to go to become anything like the Richmond Football Club.” [Hinkley]
There are no doubt more putrid soundbytes I’ve forgotten in the wake of unconvincing wins and dreadful losses.
Just what the hell are they playing at down there?
It’s like a race to the bottom in terms of lowering expectations and overinflating what should be pretty standard scenarios for a club which should be in the upper echelon of the league talentwise.
And they seem surprised that the natives are restless.
A quick count up of the top contributors for this post:
Total individual posters 138
Top 10 by number of posts 141 posts
51 posters with 1 post each.
49 posters with either 2,3,4 posts 143 posts
100 posters with 194 posts compared to 10 posters with 141 posts.
So the question in my mind is whether the thread can be biased by top posting posters?
I was sort of thinking of doing this sort of analysis just when the lost faith thread disappeared into the icloud, trash can or archived for prosperity???

Who would’ve thought that in a thread titled “Where has the club gone wrong” there’d be a bunch of people expressing their opinions on where they think the club has gone wrong?
You do realise that you 'liked' my post that supports cleaning out Koch and all those like him from the club. Just checking if that is a mistake?
But he’s getting creative at least
I liked the reminder re the creed, my take at the moment is that there has been change re the creed and this has been moving on players and new coaches. That is still to be played out. My take on koch etc is to acknowledge what he and others have achieved re many many things. We all would like more success and that is still playing out.
