From this point right now.

Will we get better or will we get worse?

We have a very young list of very talented players, they will get better.

We have a small injury list of experienced players who will come back into the team over the next few weeks.

So will we get better or will we get worse?

Unless we have a disaster losing important players to injury we will get better.

Three games off top spot with 18 games to go, lets see what happens.

Are you feeling a little glum after our not so glorious start to the season?

Then go to the Crows board and read the thread “Time to Face facts - It’s the end of an era”

It will give you some perspective.

My personal favourite post:

I've loved these players too (still do), but I agree that hard decisions will have to be made. Add to this Douglas 32, Mackay 31, & Otten 30 who will all surely be delisted/retired at the end of the year. Also, Gibbs (30) is past his best. I was all for getting him, but in retrospect, this is looking like a poor trade.”

I don’t see how we could possibly get any worse...well last year so far was worse but any joe blow can see there’s improvement so far if they look hard enough.
Crows on the other hand...they have room for getting worse...but also have plenty of scope for improvement - much like us.

come on, regardless of where both teams end up, respective supporters will some how spin it to look like their own club won the deal - it's what we do - this is bigfooty - no pace for comments like "ok, you got us, you win" just doesn't happen and it's why the cycle of arguments goes on and on and on........

...without which, wtf would we then do with our time? Supporting is a serious business.

Think we can all agree that both our teams have been disappointing to start the season, just a question on whether either team can turn it around and start getting some wins on the board.

Macreadie is the one I want up and about, think he could give us a real point of difference, together with players returning who have speed/run and carry and better disposal

Macreadie is fighting the Marchbank/Plowman types, it would be interesting to see which one he would replace. (Most people seem to dislike Plowman at the moment)

Adelaide will turn it around. The lowest they'll finish is 9th or 10th and still have a strong chance of making finals.

However, it will be interesting to see what you do with pick 1. Does Rankine want to go back to South Australia? Maybe.

Do Adelaide want to draft a kid with strong connections to the Hawthorn Football Club? Wouldn't have thought so.

I'll give you the tip, if Josh Kelly's family had any connection with Hawthorn, he'd already be back in Victoria.

Once a player like that gets traded, you're facing an uphill battle to get the equivalent of pick 1 in the draft.

Really beginning to question your colours mate

Do you reckon Adelaide are a bottom 6 side?

Its not that one post, more the ongoing anti-Carlton theme. Ive been on this site for a few years and have seen negative posters come and go but Ive never doubted them. I guess what makes me doubt is your lack of passion while gleefully consigning us a wooden spoon after four rounds.

Something just doesnt sit right.

Pick 1 ....... it’s only Rnd 5.

It’s a long season.

Good lord!

That's a fair opinion to have. Definitely not anti-Carlton. I just view things as an impartial observer and compare relative to the competition as a whole.

Don't think my posting is negative, but it may come across that way given this is the Carlton board.

Don't really know any people in industry that would have us finishing higher than 16th this year, and many would have us anchored to the bottom of the ladder after that loss to GC.

If my opinion aligns with industry expectations, I see it as a consensus view, not a negative view.
