Whatever bloods culture lived out there tonight is officially dead. The club doesn't stand for a lot anymore. The bloods culture died years ago.

Our confidence is deadset shot.

Im pretty confident Horse has lost the players.

Rowbottom looked composed for a first gamer

We try the same thing over and over and over and over again and it still gets the same result.

Scores from turnovers killed us but its poor skills that really let us down.

Richmond cruised in the second half with an eye on Wednesday

Watch for Horse to come and say the same old crap as he always does but we are coached out of 70% of our games

Congratulations Bud on a wonderful career so far 7th all time goal kicker list. A good game tonight.

Rowbottom good, should hold his place.

Thurlow much improved but still not great.

Thought Clarke was actually really solid and added a fair bit.

Mills was a bit better.

Parker is just off. Even getting lots of touches, just off.

Ronke should play NEAFL for a bit. We know what he can do, but he’s not. 2nd year blues are a thing, no shame in it, let him develop his game and come back a better player for it.

Reid honestly looks much better in defence, we should just leave him there.

Jones isn’t perfect but he’s probably our MVP at the moment and sometimes looks like the only player out there who really, truly cares.

Oh, and liked Cunningham. Been one of our most dependable players so far this year. Deserves some recognition.

Think one thing I've noticed tonight more so than other games this year is that there has been absolutely no run from defence.

Swans player marks ball on wing. Looks beside for players running past only to see 4 players standing way back inside defensive 50 pointing for him to go down the line. A vast difference to the swarm of runners transitioning from defence forwards for the Tigers.

Another point is the clearance setups has done Swans no favours against the Tigers. Richmond are a team that moves the ball forward at all costs. Swans handballing backwards upon winning the ball only plays into Richmonds hands. Tigers just have to pressure the stationary player as we've seen tonight and (1) the ball is coughed up (2) swans player is tackled (ball up), (3) ball goes over boundary line (= lose possession + territory battle), or (4) Swans player gets pinged for incorrect disposal or holding the ball.

Oh and uh yeah... turnovers hurt pretty badly tonight too right. Fix those and the scoreline won't hurt so much.

we kick to buddy to his biggest weakness

move it slow and kick to a contest usually v 2

when we finally kick it slightly to his advantage he dominated

we waste him

rowbottom dawson other positives

We aren't getting blown out by 100 ala Melbourne with Neeld but the way were are playing is far from convincing tbh. No confidence at all with this playing group.

lloyd is ineffective

longmire plays to have a close loss, 20 odd point loss he can fool the blind witnesses and they will blame skill errors

Exactly. To utilise Buddy we need to move it fast, give him a genuine one on one that does not go to his head. I mean I think he got 1 example of that today. Every other time we kicked it to him we expected him to take a big contested mark, and anyone who has seen Buddy play for 5 minutes knows that is not his strength.

oh well. My expectations have well and truly been adjusted now.
Good to see Ollie and Dawson getting 31 each respectively. Hopefully they can build from there.
Rowbottom decent debut.

Not much else.

Kizza had tears in his eyes before he got chaired off, could he be making a decision on his future after the match?

Holy shit Dawson had 31 touches. I knew he had a good game but that’s a very good sign. Hopefully has secured his spot for a while.
21 disposals in the 2nd half alone. He had the uneviable task of dropping back and sitting in front of the leading Richmond forwards.

There were a few bright spots tonight, individually. Rowbottom already mentioned and Rampe was outstanding in his one-on-ones against both Lynch and Martin.
