Nah, he's just got the kicking consistency of Levi Casboult.
It's going where he wants it to though. They're not going off the side of the boot or anything or dropping short.

That I50 in the 2nd quarter where he got the handball from Dawson was the same

A long, correctly spinning drop punt that's not within a bull's roar of a single Crows player

It's honestly bizarre

Because that's where all the Essendon extras were clustering I assume

I do wonder if Keays is colourblind. 11% or something of males are
Does Nicks need to bring the water bottles back out?

Smith is playing nowhere near what he can and used to.
Brown likewise.
It's nothing to do with "this board"
Yeah, it is. Smith has been fine and Brown very similar. This board just has blinkers on about certain players.

Stop with the generalising.
Brown has copped it for years, I've always stuck up for him.
Been great for us but he looks in struggle town right now.
Smith the same.
Nowhere near what they usually are, hopefully it turns around.

Kristof is doing the thing where he takes it out on other posters.

Just a massive flog.

Being at the game I could see just how bad Obrien is in person. Worst first ruck going around.

Wtf was with Mchenrys shot after the Tex kick? Couldn't have missed by more.

Overall a really enjoyable game. Tex was immense as was Rachele.

Our captain is terrible though. Really poor again.

The trio of Laird, Keays and Crouch were decent, just super slow when we didn't win it.

Neds field kicking is solid, when he gets around goals it's..... Substandard

In the end a poorly umpired 50 against Frampton cost the Crows. The lady ump should be embarrassed she killed the quality of the game

Nope. I’m not her biggest fan at all either, but the umps ARE letting players get away with a shake of the head or whatever, but Billy was looking at her and yelling out his frustration with the decision. The rule has been pretty well officiated this year

The goal review however.....

Doedee was a turnover merchant too, particularly in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Not just poor turnovers but terrible tackling. Just runs at players instead of corralling them. 3 times tonight he wasn’t able to stick a basic tackle and caused goals

Caused a clear 2 goal turnaround. That was the match in the 3rd.

Browns kick into a player when we had multiple options ahead of the ball was criminal. Such a lack of awareness

I said to my hubby, these games are no good for my already dicky heart! 🥴🤣
I'm actually learning to be very flat - yep some anger and frustration followed by smiles and calmness - but even last week it was a ' whatever happens happens ' feeling and no spike in heat rate - except when I punched the air and danced around the room last week.

I had buffering issues with Kayo and was more frustrated with it than any end moment - even Neds kick out of bounds didnt raise any flutters.

But again I would have jumped and danced if he did kick it

That was the Crows patented senior player momentum killer. We were having a purple patch and mightve kicked another couple.

Cannot believe you are blaming himm and tex for that keays kick..

Both himm and tex were 40m out and had lost touch from their defenders.. a short kick to either and one of them wouldve been lining up from inside 50 on the right angle for their right boot..

Not even worth conversing with you if you are gonna be that delusional as to blame them for keays instead kicking straight to an unmanned opposition defender with not even a crows player within 20m of them..

I don't love hyper analysing one small bit of play in a loss, but anyway..

You should probably watch it again. The ideal scenario would be for Keays to put the ball to the X. His defender is in front of him heading towards Tex. This would have wrong footed him. Himm would have had an advantageous 1v1 within range directly in front. Whether Himm was pointing towards the flank more I dunno. He probably was going by what he did next. Either way I think Keays made the right choice to try and put it 35-40m out (not saying this is exactly where it went).

Himm then darts towards the boundary even after the ball is in flight.

Himm is then too far from the drop and the ball lands 30m out. If he had have held position from where he was pointing, he could have easily made the contest going back with the flight

Keays had the right idea although over cooking it a bit. Himmelberg was just on a different wave length unfortunately.

I'm not hanging either out to dry based on this one play. I thought they both had decent games.

Think we could do with Ned's energy on ball for significant periods.

He would also add defensive pressure to our midfield group.
