Welcome back Brodie Kemp
I think a lot of this would be reliant on the Dockers coming out flat, which is certainly possible. Their worst and best are pretty far apart.
Not confident personally, the injuries to our talls have just destroyed us this year.
If we don't lose another key defender in Durdin to injury (or any other important cog), we will beat the Dockers

I think the ground suits our style and while the dry deck suits the Dockers, it doesn't give them the extra room they like
Weitering and Pittonet returning are the keys to us getting back on track. Until then all I want to see is a maximum effort by those who are playing. If we could snag a win or two before then it'd be an absolute bonus. Looking forward to the excitement of the run home towards finals. Whatever happens, it's been an exciting year and we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.Plowman Young Boyd
Saad Kemp Docherty
Cottrell Cripps O'Brien
Silvagni Curnow Fisher
Durdin McKay Owies
TDK Hewett Walsh
I/C: Newman, Newnes, Kennedy, Cerra*, Honey*, Dow*, Stocker*
Potential of Weitering, Pittonet and McGovern all returning in the next 2-4 weeks. Would be such a boost.
Hang in there Carlton.
They beat Melbourne there a couple of weeks ago.
Thought that was the G

He clearly needs to be rotated frequently. He has 2 or 3 good games then he's cooked. He is becoming a liability and looks as though he is half a step behind the play. No drive when going for the ball. Could be a groin issue that he's managing, which will mean it won't get any better or worse.
Setters might be an option now to give us a point of difference...

He needs to be cherry ripe to have an impact. If he's off physically by 10% he's a liability. Even at 100% he is a defensive liability but makes up for it by being great in the contest and great overhead, which makes him a great link-up player for those tough inboard kicks.
We just need to play setters and Dow against the lesser teams and rest him for the good teams.
The pattern is incredibly clear now.
At the G StigThey beat Melbourne there a couple of weeks ago.
Darcy will snap Mirkov in half. It'll be like a Mortal Kombat fatality.Might as well go with Mirkov in the ruck now and TDK CHB/Ruck, JSOS Forward/ Ruck.
TDK is buggered and his around the ground work is shriveling by the week.
Yep I'll be watching him with a very high interest tonight as I know he's raw etc but shit he's 211cm and 108kgs we need a proper TAP ruck man now to allow the midfield the dominance it was getting from Pittonet.Might as well go with Mirkov in the ruck now and TDK CHB/Ruck, JSOS Forward/ Ruck.

He's just got to be careful.Darcy will snap Mirkov in half. It'll be like a Mortal Kombat fatality.
It takes years to build strong consistency into a game plan and execution. Voss has done much better than expected with a lot of injuries to key positions, but there is no substitute for continuity. I think the wet exposed some of the lighter framed players and less experienced players last night - Richmond enjoyed the tap on scragging kick routine because that is how they play the game - wet conditions detracted from Carlton's lesser players ability to play clean football and allowed for Richmond's soccer game to score by taking territory - they were accurate in front of goals and Carlton were horrible in teh first quarter and that ended up being the difference.
I don't think there is much to learn from last night regarding the game against Fremantle- except we go into another game one ruck short and one key defender short of serious. However a dry deck certainly suits the less experienced players at Carlton.
Collingwood beating Melbum was a huge blow to Finals as was St Kilda's win.

Its going to take courage , great team spirit and sacrifice for TDK & Silvagni to confront Darcy and or Lobb in the ruck, these big men will rag doll our boys. Hopefully their courage and commitment its an inspirational boost for the whole team. He's just got to be careful.
Taberner, Lobb or Treacy/Darcy are likely to destroy what remains of Kemps confidence.
