Oh good point. Cast from phone to smart tv or use smart tv gamepass app, no need to have the app on xbox or playstation anymore.

I've got an appletv in the bedroom and an android tv downstairs but I've just set up an old "dumb" tv in the spare room/office and trying to figure out my options. I have a PS4 and a ps5 so that would've been easy enough but of course this piece of shit app won't work on either of those.

What are the odds they haven't fixed the "no scores" option on the android tv this year?

You can get cheap android tvs for like 200-300. Failing that, reckon log into gamepass on the ps5 web browser and view that way as the next "best" option.

Getting a Chromecast/Android TV device is another option if the TV is otherwise fine and just lacks the 'Smart' features.

Then you can install the app on the Android device or just stream from your phone and dont have to move your consoles.

Plus good for plenty of other stuff when you get banished to the office for bad behaviour.

It's more about having it running while working on Mondays but it's a good contingency plan for banishment as well

Has anyone been charged for their subscription yet? Just went to fire up Game Pass on the TV and realised it's August 1 today.

I go to my account and it says 'no active subscriptions', I wonder if my account will charge in a few hours or something has stuffed up with my auto-renew.

Still 31st July in USA...but my current sub is active so can't tell til tomorrow.

I did actually have to hit a button a couple weeks ago to acknowledge auto renew though.

Edit....I just checked, there is no active subscription now....no auto renewal active. I haven't changed my cc details either so it looks like I might have to sign up again. Also can't find any emails advising on the renewal either.

Same...checked my emails and last GamePass email was August 2021 regarding last season's pre-season.

I definitely hit an auto renew button not long ago. New subscription I guess.

I think it's the billing address that's causing it to be knocked back. I'm getting the visa 2FA sms and entering thr code

Can you see where it got knocked back? The last transaction on mine was 3rd August 2021 so can't tell if anything's attempted to go through yet or not.

When I try to sign up it gets knocked back for fraud if using credit card [tried 2 cards], PayPal gets knocked back when trying to verify the purchase.

Hopefully they haven't implemented a new verification program to prevent VPN sign ups. But you would imagine if that was why the auto renews would also get flagged as different countries.

Wasn't working on my phone 20 minutes ago so auto-renewal must've just gone through.
