I don’t personally think AhChee is an automatic selection anymore.

IMO he's a best 22 wingman for us this year once he's fit.

As the starting winger though??
The only lock when fit is Berry, the rest including AhChee, Robertson, Prior, Tunstill, Fletcher, Sharp and we have others already in the team that can play the role like Wilmot and Ashcroft.
I just can’t see that he is a lock at all.
I agree with many others that he is the perfect sub and may get many games throughout the year through that means.
But definitely not a 22 lock imo.

Give it another go Kenny. Doesn't need to be specific ,just say we're going after one of their Captains. Or if you want it to be a bit more vague someone in their leadership group.

Think we need our wings to be versatile. They need to be able to zone and keep space effectively and have the ability to go back and defend or go forward and snag a goal. Ah Cheese versatility makes him the perfect wing with the new gameplan.

He doesn't get enough possessions. It's either that he isn't getting to spots that demand the ball or that the teams aren't using the wings as much as they should be, which wouuld go back onto coaching to train them to use them more. I am hoping that this pre-season they were instructed to.

What Viceregal said. It was really noticeable that we neglected our wings, even when they were wide open and a clear best option.

I was initially referring to Cal then progressed to our wings more generally when thinking if our team doesn't use them as much as other teams

Could go either way.
I think we took a step up in the final vs Melbourne though and if we can play close to that 2nd half then we'll be ok.

If we can nullify [PLAYERCARD]Aliir Aliir[/PLAYERCARD] in defence, perhaps by Daniher or Hippy dragging him away from the contest, that will go a long way to upsetting their defence. I'm not massively concerned by their midfield when matched against what we have, and I think they'll still be in trial mode in the forward line, so won't be able to fully capitalise. Lions by 25 after 4 unanswered in the third quarter.

You have nailed it in my opinion. He has all the weapons but can't get the ball.
