When he’s kicking with the breeze and we’ve narrowly beaten a struggling minnow he says “judge us with a full team” and we get said full team and don’t come to play in a prelim he moves the goal posts and says “judge us on the season”

If someone can literally and no hyperbole literally change goalposts based entirely on the failure to deliver when it counted, in the space of a month and the response was (club and media) was a full court press/festival of gaslighting for the entire Summer after I don’t think it’s possible for us to ever hold him to account

Once you make peace with the fact he will say whatever the **** he thinks he needs to say and the rest of us can GAGF (even if it doesn’t makes sense, is misleading, is a lie) then it all makes more sense

Honestly he could say he’s gonna put his **** in my ear and lick my wife’s ass and it’s about as likely to ever happen as what he says to the press on the daily….

And yet Barrett was certain last year for months that Ken was gone at the end of 2022.

The only people worth listening to on this are Caro and Kane. Caro clearly thinks he's staying but they haven't even begun contract discussions so she's going on nothing more than the vibe.

And Kane has his head so far up Ken's arse if there was any hint of an extension coming now, Kane would be shouting about it from the rooftops.

Let's get to August and see where things stand. Jimmy Bartel was spot on last night when he said the August timeline was a weird one. It's clear it was another Koch gaffe - putting down an August timeline assuming the team wouldn't make finals which would then make it an easy decision at that time to make. Of course, it has blown up in his face and now if he keeps to his word he has to make a decision on a coach who has a poor history of performing in elimination games (ie prelim finals) prior to seeing his teams perform in any elimination games in September.
