Parish is the better player and is free.

While Flanders will cost a decent pick and has less runs on the board, although his past few weeks have been fantastic.

I don't think either are particularly quick.

But Parish is 27 next year and Flanders is 23.

Flanders or Parish if you had to choose? Who’s quicker?

Flanders will have a bit more growth left in him as you'd expect at 22. Parish plays nearly exclusively as an inside clearance player but can run and play a bit more outside if need be at a stretch. Flanders can play a forward role and impact. Parish was behind Flanders at the same age but not by much. Parish has appeal because he's free. Flanders has appeal because he's young and could be an absolute superstar.

Parish isn't slow or fast. Flanders is more that burst out of stoppage strong bull type. He's a genuine forward option as well. Probably a bit of Mitch Owens in him. You could see both exploding out of the centre and bombing long range goals on the run. Rotating with Phillipou as well and it would be a Nic mix of guys who could rotate through both.

Ah yes, the one-game-sample-size write-off
Well I could have stated the other reasons why his character doesn’t stand up but I thought that was obvious enough.

I reckon a 23 year old dishing up a game like that while your kids are trying to drag you over the line says a bit though.

Good for the culture

Think it’s a weak and lazy argument, and I can’t be bothered going back and forth over it. If we can get him for a good price, do it.
Very high ceiling, game breaker and changer.
Would be one or more in every premiership team for the last 100 years.
Not rocket surgery.

C'mon - can we have a serious discussion?

Being a loose unit is not comparable with the allegations that Thomas is facing now and De Goey faced in the past. Are we serious about this issue in the community, or for only those who are expendable?

As with JDG at this stage last year, I again state: I would find it difficult to barrack for [PLAYERCARD]Tarryn Thomas[/PLAYERCARD].

And if he was as good as those pictured you’d take the risk at a decent price.

He hasn’t been able to get himself to any decent level other than the odd good game here and there.
