It was, now it's price gouging. Prices are a ratchet, they only go one way. Costs rise, prices rise, costs drop, profits rise.

When I was little, my sister and I used to go grocery shopping at Carousel with my mum and she'd buy as a bucket of chips each everytime. My sister used to pack hers with so much vinegar that you could smell it from 20 metres away. That wasn't the worst part for me, then she would push the round vinegar soaked base out of the bottom of the bucket and suck the vinegar out of the cardboard. I've never* been able to eat it due to being scarred by the smell and the disgusting image of her doing this. She still brings it up to this day.



*Except for with dukkah and bruschetta
 
I recently saw my nephew eat a lemon slice, peel and all. I've advised my brother to get a DNA test, to make sure he's human.

I used to live hot chips doused in vinegar as a kid. Stopped short of sucking the vinegar out of the soggy cardboard though

No sane person would go for the premium fittings straight away. You try it out, see how it feels, maybe upgrade to carbon fibre after a go or two.

Got this book a fortnight ago:

Her website has been a sauce for many a great recipe over the years and this book is great so far. Made the lamb shanks last weekend and went and spent up at an Asian grocery today to make some of the dishes. Either Korean ribs or Japanese ramen next.

Well if he wins the election he can pardon himself for starters. Won't be able to vote for himself but can become president.
