HOME AFL TEAMS CARLTON-BLUES ‘No idea’: Blues theory is ‘absolute bulls**t’ as sleeping giant wakes from AFL ‘nightmare’

However speaking to foxfooty.com.au, Maclure scoffed at suggestions the Blues were a better side without McKay.

“They’ve got no idea ... that is absolute bulls**t,” the former Carlton skipper said of such criticism.

“I’m not one in that camp, I’m one that wants to keep him. He’ll grow.

Get em Sellars
I’d have to go and check. But I bet half of the media types who can’t find a space for Harry on our list were the same ones who told us we were stuffed when he went down with his injury.

Sellers has been a cranky old coot over the years, but like Wallsy (another Carlton great who has been vocally critical of the club and its decision making in the past), his heart has always been in the right place, just wants the best for our footy club (even if path criticisms were not that productive at the time)

He is entitled to be cranky. The bullsh** from parts of the media is just that. It is mischievous crap. Every one with half an idea of football knows two gun talls is better than one. I have long said Harry should player higher as a CHF working up the ground as both defensive and offensive outlet/conduit. His mobility and field kicking are absolute weapons. His last couple of games played in that fashion have been sensational. He is still a forward threat, able to kick goals from beyond 50 metres and selectively presenting deeper when appropriate. Charlie has the ability to assist up the ground as well, but is more dynamic and robust in more contests deep in our forward line. Harry’s speed and agility is under rated, but Charlie’s mobility is next level.

Harry adds so much more than we will give up by removing one pressure player. If he is working up the ground, he is not clogging the forward fifty.

This is a good one

Reasonable assessment I reckon.
I think I agree with some of it, and the nugget about Fogarty missing sore is interesting, but I prefer

In: McKay, Silvagni, Walsh, Cerra, McGovern

Out: Motlop, Pittonet, Cottrell, Dow (to sub), Marchbank, E. Curnow

I think Hollands has managed a better balance of offense and defence then Cottrell and Walsh/Cereal are going to take massive wing minutes.

Cotts could theoretically slot forward, but that role is Fog's at the moment. Fish playing loose HB/Wing is going well and his moments of brilliance really give him an edge

I'd pick Cottrell ahead of both Fog and Hollands. He runs harder and faster, and has a harder body.

The 🐴 report.

Jacob W. On SEN.

Feels pretty sure Hazza will play ( if gets thru training ok)
Finds laughable the current 'trade Hazza' narrative.

Rapt with team.
Scenario based footy.
Marchy says he touched it.
Last 10 weeks...especially last 4...
Pressure. Mindset of chase more than survive.
The chase is on
maturity and trust in system
playing for each other.
Some playing above their level.

Will make sure they bring pressure for Saturday.

Jacob's Ladder. 🪜⬆️

Our narrative should be

Marchy touched it, despite having his arm chopped by the Melbourne player ie point or free kick, either way Melbourne lose

Spot on from Weiters.

[PLAYERCARD]Jacob Weitering[/PLAYERCARD] on the [PLAYERCARD]Harry McKay[/PLAYERCARD] debate: “I haven't read too much about it, I've certainly heard murmurings around it. I find it laughable to be honest, Gerard. It's very hard to draft one key position player that you keep on your list for a long time - let alone a Coleman Medallist. We've got 2 of them that are the same age that we've got locked away for a while & they are quality, quality players.

Even though Neale Balme took out Geoff Southby in 1973 and David McKay in 1972 - you can no doubt look at Kevin Sheedy as one of the architects and common denominator in both our 1973 and 1993 Grand Final losses.

No one should forget Dean Wallis knocking out Mil Hanna in the 1993 Grand Final.

Dad could go on The Front Bar!
Love a good flannie.
