Can Port win a premiership under Ken Hinkley?

They have to give him at least another 3 years to figure things out

Not sure ol' Kenny is doing much match-day coaching currently. Resembles a highly paid spectator with front row seats and an endless supply of pepsi max.

He’d actually be a good Paul Roos at Melbourne coach I reckon, John Worsfold at Essendon.

Pressure absorber. Good educator. Creates a club environment players want to be at.

If he has the energy & Clarko doesn’t I’d be quite happy to have him for 3 years to just get us off the bottom building.

But yep when you get to Ports stage, they need to move on. They just don’t get up for big games and that’s where they are at now. Especially need to make hay while Dixon is around - nothing against Marshall & Georgiades but Dixon really does have that big man presence.
They’re done with Ken

Always a chance of jagging one if the stars alighn, but it's highly unlikely. The blokes got know idea and quite frankly there has never been a person (either player of coach) less deserving of a flag.

Wow The press conference.

Ken, and the coaching staff HAD to rest Connor irrespective of how he felt about his hamstring. It's a huge call for Ken to admit that he ****ed up. It's a poor decision to make for a coach under pressure. It's nice that he's honest and open about it but Port needs to do better.

At the end of the day, he had a hamstring tweak/issue. There's more than enough data out there to say HE NEEDS TO REST!!!

I’m normally a massive fan of Dunstall but couldn’t believe the way he defended Ken.

Nearly everyone I spoke to prior to the game was baffled that Rozee was playing. He was taken out of a game in the balance with a hamstring issue yet was somehow right to go 6 days later?

The scans and tests said he was right to go? Don’t piss on our heads and tell us it’s raining.

Heaps of the footy public said it looked like a massive risk, and we were right, yet we’re supposed to take Ken’s word that there weren’t any signs he shouldn’t play?

Why is Ken Hinkley so untouchable in the media? They always target premiership winning coaches, but not Hinkley. Must be connected.
He has the vic based media in his pocket. Ultimately they apply the pressure and decide when a coach goes. If port were a team based in victoria he would be well and truly gone. As far as 6 years ago at the end of 2018.

Probably wants to be sacked before he breaks bill Stephen's world record

Unlucky Kenny. They can't kick.

It is his responsibility to make sure they can kick it through the big ones.

It's all confidence. Whenever a Port player gets the ball inside 50 he is shitscared to have a shot, will try and give it to someone else until finally someone is under enough pressure to have a low percentage snap without the pressure that they "should" kick it.

On set shots eyes are darting around to pass it off, very few players back themselves to nail it.

Look at the change in Collingwood once McRae made them believe. Now they kick everything because they know they can do it.
