We might end up winning only one more against the Saints at home.
I cant seeing us beating the Hawks when they come over here.
And every other team is playing a lot better than us that we meet later in the year
I just did the ladder predictor on the AFL website. They have us not winning any more games for the year and finishing 16th

They are concerned with and unlike 20 years ago, social media dictates the agenda.

Matthew Nicks doesn’t have any social media so his awareness of what is going on would be limited and only from what he is told by others. You would think you would set up an account under a ghost name so you could at least get some idea.
I actually think the no idea pathway would be the best way. Let others filter it for you

The stuff I say to/about him would make my grandmother blush - and she wore army boots and drank whisky everyday

He should open a BF account to get some ideas

I just assumed he was Wayne

To be fair, if I was a player or coach, I'd go nowhere near social media.

It would do your head in.

Not sure what is said on social media in totality has any value. Even if you think that some views out there have merit, they would be balanced out by other people saying the exact opposite.

He should certainly have people in his inner circle capable of offering constructive criticism, but I think you'd want to totally avoid socials.

Not too many modifications to the poll at the top of the page.

Obviously another 5-year plan coming up.

He doesn't have awareness on most things. He keeps picking underpeforming players.

The thing is the media is still going soft on Nicks. There have been criticisms but no where as much as there should be because they’ve fallen for the nice guy routine.

Listened to 2 minutes of Blight and Wildy last night, it was sickening, gone into full ambassador mode. Blight “unless you’ve coached you don’t know” FFS, based on that defence every coach is safe and a good coach.

I’d love one of them to actually analyse all his **** ups this year and then make an assessment.

I definitely agree, Nicks has been given so much leniency it's ridiculous.

I've never seen an Adelaide coach treated with kid gloves as much as Nicks has been and to some degree it has perpetuated the myth that some people have that Nicks is a "rookie" coach and shouldn't be under any scrutiny.

Nicks would have been lucky to last two seasons at most other clubs.

It's laughable hearing the club trotting out Hardwick as an example as to why we should continue to have faith with Nicks, yet no one has pushed back on the club and questioned why it's a valid comparison when Hardwick actually had results on the board to justify the faith whereas Nicks has none.

You could forgive someone not really invested or paying attention to defend the coach.

The best 23 is ok but overall the list is average. The list of first rounders drafted in the last whatever years gets thrown around a bit and it looks underwhelming to say the least.

What’s more damning- and someone read it out on 5aa- is the total list of players drafted that would be 25-29 by now. That’s where we’re lacking age demographic wise and it’s pretty much 90% players who are busts or walked out. A truly woeful strike rate.

So some naturally may be inclined to cut Nicks some slack.

If you’ve been following though, you’ve seen a bloke make some rookie errors. Stuck on Laird and Crouch in the guts. Ever so slowly moved Dawson and Soligo there. Clung to Sloane well past expiry. Pumping games into a few players who just don’t have it. Just no urgency to change the guard, no faith in the next crop. And quite a few wtf moments wit the sub.

He deserves the judgement.

Rowey: "I haven't said a bad word about Nick's, I've 100% backed in the decision to resign him.

Also Rowey: "your DNA is Crap, Dopey Dumb Decisions, Play the Players in their Position, Bloody SHAPE, You're pouring games into the wrong players, If you had a plan IT STUNK!"

Yeah... full support of the media too apparently 😂

Tex and Roo on MMM this morning largely blaming injuries for our poor season, but also concede we just need to get better too. Not really anything different from what Kelly, Nicks and Silvers have said in recent days.

Either it's what they've all been told to say by our PR team to try calm the supporter base down, or they genuinely believe we have just been unlucky with injury and that's the only reason we are here.

Rowey said on 5AA this morning that over the weekend he's had plenty of calls from former club staff (coaches and admin) and former players, ranging in opinions from 'how dare you question the club' to 'keep fighting the good fight'.
Yeah, the club has gone into full protection mode with their BS spin.

For those of you reading this from AFC... all that does is piss us off more as we don't like being treated like fools.

If real change is not made in key positions, you will lose members in their droves.

Our patience has pretty much run out & there is no light at the end of the tunnel with your current setup.

Time to get some quality football people at AFC.

The club has become an ego-driven project for Roo.

I'm sure it won't be long before he's telling supporters to go and support someone else, that's normally his playbook once the fans start questioning his decisions.

The scarier part is I imagine Nicks is probably thinking to himself "I wish I had Rory in the team right now".

Roo:

"Keep the faith. Stay on board."

No, we're done and so is nicks.

Tex:

"We've had injuries."

"You prolly think it's excuses but they're the facts."

So did richmond so yes, they're excuses.
