West AdelaideNo train to Tullamarine is a massive failing.Vic Govt is an embarrassment of the highest order... The states totally broke, the corrupt unions are running rife, building a useless train loop from Cheltenham to Box Hill is utter stupidity.
I've checked everywhere in the MCC members... there's no Farmers Union iced coffee fridge to be found.Nah .. I go over to the G occasionally and I'm fortunate to have a few friends with MCC memberships
The hospitality options and gameday experience eclipse anything on offer at AO
To each their own. I've done a stint in Canberra. Easy to get around, easy going work, but its very insular. Especially with the satellite suburbs.Proof that you are the evil twin.
I was required to spend time all over Australia for work. Melbourne (where I spent the most time) was by far the least enjoyable and it wasn't even close. The idea of Melbourne is dramatically different to the actual lifestyle. Wouldn't do another stint there for love or money. Was actually a big factor in my decision to change careers and stay in Adelaide permanently.
Anyone that speaks poorly of living in Adelaide (or Canberra/Darwin/Hobart) probably hasn't spent much time there.

Get stuffed! You want to experience lack of culture, head to Brisbane. The epicentre of classless society.
Danger Zone and Danger_zone replying to each other is the highlight of our off season so far. What are the chances of someone posting a legit rumour in the next 100 pages?
Need a new thread mark from the last rumour, to start here and skip the which is the best state to live in/12 month old Keays goalpost controversy. What are the chances of someone posting a legit rumour in the next 100 pages?
Buckley(s)What are the chances of someone posting a legit rumour in the next 100 pages?
This is why we love Brisbane. Can't disagree with any of this .... The ridiculous traffic, no matter the time of day, or day ...it is the best part of Adelaide now, ease of getting around
You have to allow an hour and half everywhere ....there's daily accidents on the ring road, that can turn a 40 min trip into 2 hours ....just exhausting
You mean like I didn't criticise the club over the handling of Rachele? No you won't.
Okay.... I'll start one. What are the chances of someone posting a legit rumour in the next 100 pages?
Yes, this was a big mistake, and one of the most critical errors we made this year.If this rumour is true so be it. However, we completely failed to replace him. Another rumour was that big name assistants like Dew and Rutten didn’t want to join us because we were unwilling to give them senior assistant over Burns, who has been largely unimpressive here.
Olsen - We're going to extend your contract.Okay.... I'll start one.
A bloke I am close to said Olsen and Nicks were seen having a cream bun and coffee at the McLaren Flat bakery. Olsen doing all the talking. Nicks in tears.
There are a lot of people who aren't interested in living in Adelaide, including those who know the city really well.Proof that you are the evil twin.

Cost of living, beaches, hills - if you want a view Melbourne doesn't really have that. There are a lot of people who aren't interested in living in Adelaide, including those who know the city really well.
There aren't many areas that it beats Melbourne on, I don't think. Maybe traffic?
That's pretty unfair. That argument is very speculative and still doesn’t justify the SRL cost. Has strong Multifunction Polis vibes.
Adelaide doesn't compare to Melbourne for culture. It's ridiculous to suggest it.I just wanted to see the excuses flow.
Both Melbourne and Adelaide have shocking weather, so if that's a priority I don't think you live there.Cost of living, beaches, hills - if you want a view Melbourne doesn't really have that.
Weather - Adelaide's weather is marginally better, especially during Winter.

Haha, he set the bait for you and Kristof and it didn't take long to get a bite.Get stuffed!
We have so many people trying to move to Brisbane, there's a lineup at the border. We're happy when someone says they don't like it - we don't need people here with such terrible taste.Haha, he set the bait for you and Kristof and it didn't take long to get a bite.

Aren't you confusing Brisbane city with Qld.We have so many people trying to move to Brisbane, there's a lineup at the border. We're happy when someone says they don't like it - we don't need people here with such terrible taste.![]()
I'm not sure of cost of living anymore - real estate is ridiculously overpriced in Adelaide, and it seems to me like you get paid far better in Melbourne for equivalent jobs, and there are more opportunities.
When I say cost of living I typically mean house prices.Yeah I'm pretty sure the cost of living is higher in Adelaide now because we haven't had the wage growth.

Said by someone that doesn’t live here.Adelaide doesn't compare to Melbourne for culture. It's ridiculous to suggest it.
The Fringe and WOMAD are great - pity about the other eleven months.
