I love Vossy but I’ve said it recently on here that he’s losing me. He’s making some bizarre coaching decisions that I don’t like like Crippa in the ruck, tonight Harry being out and we bring in Young our 5th tall defender. There’s no improvement or anything new to the gameplan which atm looks non existent.

I’m at a point now where I want Bevo or Longmire to coach us from 2026 and beyond.

If we lose against both the Dogs and Pies, I'd ask him to step down and have Hansen take over the reigns for the rest of the year.

We can't waste this year.

Might work with Hansen, but I prefer a complete clean out if we move on Voss

I want to see him change things up rather than stubbornly sticking to what isn’t working. He’s had over 3 years now and it’s the same old.. show some progress and change things up. Give the players more license to attack and put the opposition under pressure. I think the players get caught in two minds with their positioning and that hesitation means we end up in the wrong spots. Forwards aren’t in front when we do the long dump kick. Defenders are starting behind the opposition forwards allowing them the easy mark coming out of defence. Even when we force them to dump kick and rush disposal they still hit a target. The players are so worried about their own man to the point attacking flair is non-existent. Game plan is causing this. Player confidence is eroding.

It’s not all his fault though. List management has been poor and hampered him. Huge injury lists for whatever reason have hurt too. I think assistant choices have been poor also. But ultimately, we are lagging behind with the game plan we are trying to implement and there’s one man who’s responsible for that. The fish rots at the head as the saying goes.

He has the chance now to turn it around but I do fear he’ll stick to his guns and fall on that sword. I’d love to be proven wrong though if it means we turn this season around and play footy that will actually challenge. Not this average of 8.5 goals a game rubbish.

Longmire was the best coach in the league for like the last 5 years of his tenure in my opinion. Also always seemed to have a great relationship with the players. Has always been my favourite non-Carlton coach.

It’s system though.
We don’t do the fundamentals well as a team. And that’s not a ‘the players aren’t good enough’ problem, it’s a ‘we’re not drilled well enough’ problem.

We were right in it tonight. Nothing went our way, we had the same number of scores, hit the post 3 times.
But we make it harder on ourselves than it is for other teams.

We seem so scared to get labelled as a team that is always sacking coaches cause of our sordid past of sacking coaches on a whim! This is not that case- this is not because of 1 bad performance, this is now a repeated pattern of crap. Poor team selection. A team that is playing games inside their own heads and cannot perform on field. A team who looks miles behind the competition yet only 10 or so games ago were sitting 2nd on the ladder a game and a half clear!

Clearly talent alone gets us up in many games, and coaching appears to be dragging us down and, contrary to what Harry believes, we ARE in a rush to win a flag. We only have a small amount of time before the key pillars of our team are too old to get that next flag and then, Tassie enters the mix. Good luck getting top end draft picks (which we might stuff up anyway) into our team. The time to strike is now. **** the outside noise- if we believe this team can go all the way (and I truly believe that with the proper guidance they can) then we need to act on it now. Trying to be the good guy footy team cause we don't do that (sack coaches) anymore is not solving the issues at hand...

This club has been a shitshow ever since Greg Swann left, and even then the tail end of his tenure was a debacle.

Long overdue for a massive football department clean out.

I wouldn’t keep any of them - Austin, Lloyd, Voss, every single assistant coach. Even the new high performance guy can go given we seemingly still can’t run out games.

And Cook can walk too - done absolutely nothing noteworthy since joining.
