Jeez I hope the media roast him this week. Please keep applying the pressure.

This Muppet needs to go.
Gaz turns into a massive Melbourne nuffy when grilling him on 360. Can't wait for him to clip up more of our atrocious forward entries to Goodwin's face and just ask "wtf is this shit?"

He accepts shit answers though and just nods his head. Needs to follow up and not let him off the hook.

He tried to press for more last week and Goodwin malfunctioned and went into a loop. Garry must have felt bad for him after that.

And who's to say Goody's spot on 360 doesnt go the same way as Simon's Sign Off. Could totally see it.
Would be funny as if Goodwin was quietly replaced by Adem Yze.

That's the standard. Ask him a question, get a cliche ridden, completely unrelated answer. If you ask it again he gives you the same completely unrelated answer.

Dude talks like an AI help bot.

We are working incredibly hard on that, though
3 years we've been working incredibly hard on it, these things take time and I have a really good feeling it will click in the 6th year.

You just won the flag, your gameplan worked out perfectly, congratulations.

The next year rolls around, you go back to the well with the same plan that won you the flag, why wouldn't you?
It gets you to finals again but you go out in straight sets, maybe you were just unlucky.

The next year rolls around again, let's go with the same gameplan, it gets you to finals right?
You make finals again but go out in straight sets once again.

Your gameplan is now proven not to stack up in finals. This is the time you get your brains trust together and hit the whiteboard and formulate a completely new gameplan that will get it done.

No, you decide you can tweak your gameplan so go ahead with it again the next year and finish bottom 6.
If there was ever a time for change, it is now.
No.

On to the next season, now you have some semblance of a gameplan where you concede an extra in D50 so your F50 is out numbered and you can no longer kick a winning score.
What now, what now?

Watching Goodwin coach is like watching someone play a text adventure game in the 90s. It's boring and the person playing keepings putting the same answer in the prompt expecting it to work when the game keeps saying 'No'

Speaking on SEN’s Crunch Time, Cornes believes that Goodwin needs to be introspective about his coaching ability and to consider whether he has a game plan capable of competing against the best sides in modern-day footy.
“I think as a player, you arrive at a situation where at some point in your career that you think, the game is just starting to pass me by,” Cornes said. “I felt that was for Simon Goodwin last night"
“I felt like as a coach, if he’s not waking up this morning going, do I still have it? Then I’m not sure how honest he is being with himself because the tactics they went into that game of football was never going to win them a game."
“It felt like, okay we’ve just come off ten goal losses consecutively, let’s not get beaten by ten goals tonight but we're not going to win."
“I think as a collective coaching department and clearly, it’s not just on Simon Goodwin, it’s his whole match committee. They were outcoached as badly as you are going to see last night in a game of football."
“It arrives for everyone, why doesn’t it arrive for coaches?”

Spot on. He went in with zero idea how to actually win the game, so he just went for damage control.

Need to put a broom through the entire footy department, as I don't think there's a single good idea between the lot of them.

Strong 2014 vibes, lets just not get annihilated this week boys...

Disgraceful to have a spare back for about the entire game - and the king of intercept marking Jake Bowey no less

Loved that. We'd kick constantly to their guy who's reason for existing is to ruin long entries, but it's ok, we have a tiny ginger doing **** all to even things out.

Hi guys, Simon here.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting in my environment. You're obviously a proud group of posters and it's great to see it looking like a Melbourne board here.

I know the season appears grim, but that's mostly because we've lost our shape. I usually try to get us looking like a square, or maybe even a triangle. But lately we've been looking more like a rhombus, which has been a real learning experience.

Next week I think we might look a bit like a trapezoid and that's really a result of how much we love each other. I'm proud of our shapes, because nothing says contest and defence like a hexagon.

Our ultimate goal is to play like an octagon, with May kicking it long and left to Max. Then Max kicking it long down the line to Melk, who will then kick it long to Max again in the pocket.

So stick with us guys, because we're working incredibly hard on taking a step forward towards forward connection, while always twirling towards freedom.

Signing off,
Simon 🎓
