Reckon he worries too much coming out of defence and overthinks it, resulting in a shit kick

This. Nothing worse than seeing Duggan 'scanning' the field ahead, you just know it's going to be terrible.

Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

14 disposals, 5 marks (1 contested), 3 score involvements and 2 goals.

Also included a good quarter supporting our backline. Nice to see him build on his impressive first game with an even better second game.

6 intercept possessions too.

If he kicked that other set shot we could’ve been looking at our 3rd RS nom in 3 games.

Now get his signature, just as important as Harleys imo because we will get well unders for this lad in a trade.

The 2 goals where from chase down tackles aswell. Good signs that when it’s not easy for him he’s still prepared to do the hard work and contribute in other ways.

To think he is an 18 year old KPF in his 2nd game, clunking marks, kicking goals and making a big impact across the ground. In his position he plays against some of the best players in the comp and has still made a big impact in the past two weeks. All of this whilst adjusting to the game, life in Perth and growing into his body.

Absolute steal of the draft.

You see this in the NFL all the time - a lot of the most successful teams draft well, get excellent play out of rookie contracts and therefore the coin to pay their stars. It would suck to see Allen go, but the difference in the two contracts would free up several hundred grand to beef up the team in another position.

Still almost a month until he turns 19.

He has also shown one thing that almost always results in a great player. Every level he's played at, he's stepped up to the level straight away.

The rebuild still has a bloody long way to go but Shanahan is a steal. If his body stands the test and he puts the work in he'll be a top 5 KPF in the comp.

It's very rare for a first year KPP to just come into a side and perform at AFL level. Particularly at KPP size and without being a man child like say Darling.

As much as he could be great down back and showed it when needed last night he's an absolute top tier forward prospect.

Pick 30 an absolute steal.

No Allen, no Waterman is going to make his life tough now that teams will start respecting him and actually putting work into him.

🤞He can work through that and continues his impressive start.

Just a shit place to be where all our young guys are getting thrown to the wolves with little to no support from the senior experience.

Reid/Yeo, Edwards+Brock/Gov+Barras, Shanahan+AReid/Allen+Waterman+JD

Leaks in the dyke left right and centre. McQualter is going to need more fingers

Plus he's now a bit injury prone

I was of the view that people were going overboard on this kid... that they needed to cool their heels and let him develop in the WAFL... and that there was nothing wrong with the club looking at him as a potential key defender.

I take it all back.

Has AA CHF written all over him. Get his signature ASAP.

Eagles were keen at pick 12 for Shanahan took Bo Allen , which as a possible midfielder was a good idea , then getting Shanahan at pick 30 was a bonus.
Geelong offered their future 1st for our future 2nd for pick 30 ( rumoured ) which we turned down luckily.

From what was rumoured Eagles were offering Hawks F1 every pick after taking Allan to get Shanahan.

Whether he gets a RS star nomination before the end of the season remains to be seen but regardless he will remain eligible for the award next year - will only have played 9 games at most this year so under the 10 game threshold for eligibility
