No shit Damo. What do you want them to say, dickhead? It's all keeping up appearances until they consciously uncouple at seasons end.

Any opportunity to pot WC and how mention how unfair the FA system that has been in place since 2012 is.

He said wouldn't come back on air if Jack Graham got Richmond pick 2. While Graham is worth nowhere near a contract of that size it would've been a worthwhile investment.

I don't consume much AFL media in general, but I actively avoid anything written by him.

I would change channels if he, for some reason, appeared uninvited on my tv screen.

Jay clark from the Herald Sun talking absolute dogshit about WC not deserving AFL assistance on the post-game show. ** off and go ** yourself you biased campaigner, grow a ****ing braincell.
Blah blah, they had the chance to trade McGovern for picks after the grand final blah blah.

Seriously, an apparently qualified journalist came out with that as an argument? Stick to dribbling shit on Triple M Jay. Serious football discussions should be left to the fully grown adults

Hearing him gargle a post-game Optus Oval urinal would have been more thoughtful.

Jay Clark is a Richmond supporter. That's your reason against WCE getting assistance right there.

I thought he’s a Geelong fan. Part of the sickening pro Geelong cohort alongside Whateley, Hudson, Gullan (and there’s a few others whose names escape me lol).

13 wins from our past 100 games.

Who would’ve thought at the bye in 2021 when 7th on the ladder and that thrilling win against Richmond would our next 100 games look like that.

I legitimately point to that game as the last time we saw the West Coast Eagles. What a win.

It repulses me that teams have won more games this year than we have since that game.

Legitimately point? Do you carry around a poster of it and take it out for people to point at?

I honestly don't think Hird watches football, just makes shit up and thinks nobody will question his opinions because of the weight his name (used to) carry.

Also if he’s somehow implying literally straight after the Grand Final - no we didn’t. His contract was up. It was accept Pick 19 in compo for him or bring him back.

Gov signed his extension mid 2018 - well before the GF so we could’ve traded him

But that would be the same as Richmond trading Reiwoldt after 2017, or Melbourne trading May after 2021, or Geelong trading Stewart, or Collingwood trading Moore or Brisbane trading Andrews

What club would trade an AA centre half back at the peak of his powers when the club itself is balls deep as a contender (you can’t get deeper than reigning premier)

Ah indeed, I thought we had both Gaff and Gov deals cooking at once.

And I’m still smarter than Jay Clark.

I question every achievement Hird made during his career after what went down when he was coach. Highly likely he was on the juice the whole time IMO. You don't go from somebody who never touched that stuff your whole playing career to all of a sudden a wildly enthusiastic peddler, promoter and distributor of the stuff to a group of 40 blokes under your care in the few short years between his playing coaching careers. And nobody has ever put that to him to his face even though he is on the TV several nights a week.

If you looked at our results and win/loss record at face value without having watched any games beyond weekly highlights, then I can understand why you’d question how we’ve improved

But if you’ve watched the games more closely you’d see why McQualter can see some improvement - we’ve been able to genuinely challenge top sides for periods with an identifiable game plan. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to sustain that effort across four quarters and have often fallen away badly

And we’ve been able to do that without meaningful contributions from four of our best/most important players for the majority of the season - Yeo, McGovern, Waterman and Allen
