The ironic part about this is this trade talk is less delusional than St Kilda’s list strategy of buying everyone without the Geelong Farm mechanism to subsidise the salary cap.

This extremely bold play has meant some weird and wild byproducts such as the prospect of talented players maybe realising they’re a long way away from cracking into the Ross Lyon St Kilda 2.0 megaultraturbo team

Honestly even Geelong first on traded for ryan would be a bad deal . That pick will end up after 30 which makes it a speculative pick .

Saints would be happy they trade marshall and get a know quantity. Ryan who has been all Australian, has at least 3 years left and puts bums on seats .

"Has Been" is the operative word. Harley puts bums on seats Ryan doesn't, he fades out of the game far too often for long periods. The Club is paying him a lot of money for 20 odd goals in a season, approx $30k/Goal if he's on $600k and $40k/goal if he is on $800k. Is that value for money ?

We honestly don't have enough of those that is why we are the wooden spooners .

A pick that ends up in the 30s may end up not even playing 30 games especially in a weak draft
