1. Needed Bruce as a starter or at least sub
2. Bringing in both Berry and Neale off injury and no games at the same time
3. We have to recognise that we have stacks of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year players. There must be a breaking point when you consider time on ground for these guys and the older guys having to take so much extra load.

Geelong were pretty bloody good tonight. Their pressure was elite. We didn't get the game on our terms and our midfield was just not winning the ball. Onto the next one to see what we can do.at the Gabba.

I’m cold, I got abused but overall in good spirits. Shocker night but this group can bounce back.

Home time.

Geelong game planned really well and out worked us. We were very fumbly which didn’t help our cause. Our forward line needs a pretty big shake up next season and it should get it with our inclusions.

Too late in the season to make any big changes, Neale out, Marshall in, Bruce sub for me

Big question going in was if Geelong's easy run in would be to their disadvantage. They were fine.

Bit too much for us. A bit underdone, bit too banged up, bit too far down the depth chart. I don't think our effort was generally too bad but we certainly not at their level.

Their shooting and indiscipline kept us in it probably longer than we necessarily deserved.

Said a few times this year, I thought making a prelim this year would be a good result after we lost Joe and didn’t adequately replace him. Would be an even bigger effort considering the injuries we’ve had and we’ve been up for so long now, whereas the previous premiers couldn’t back up the following year showing how hard it is to do.

But I stand by what I believe in that no matter what happens from here, I still think we’ll be a better team next year. The attacking end needs work obviously after losing Joe which we will get Allen in to help there. Payne and Answerth will be two big ins defensively as well, in a team that can get opened up at times when the midfield pressure is off.

Hard to know what we’ll get next week

At least 18 of our 22 were very poor tonight

We know they’re much better

Out: Neale, Marshall and Ty
In: Tunstill, Reville and Hippy(if fit)

We need guys who can play with the same application as Geelong did tonight. I think Tunstill is therefore probably a better option than Marshallso he gets Neales spot

Guessing we’ll play next Saturday?

It wasn’t the gameplan. They pressured and ran hard. It’s very simple, we don’t need to overcomplicate things

Shut down our clearances and our ball movement so we have nothing left

My favourite part of the game were the abusive cats fans behind me crying because their cats by 40+ bet failed (love you Tyson Stengle ❤️).
