Imagine trading your captain and only good player for a future pick lolYeah have to ask for futures for Merrett
Should def trade, he 30 and doesn’t want to be there
But they won’t
You don't want 4 top picks in a draft Essendon have loaded up with 4 or 5. That's the wrong draft![]()
Skimming that one took a few hoursnow im going to skim read all his posts in dermots voice.

Do you have to say it 3 times like Beetlejuice.Start discussing Harley Reid and he'll appear
I think Cumming is overrated and Greeves is underrated by most on this board.
Cumming is a very average kick with an awkward kicking style. Also, he does not get enough of the ball and has injury issues. I would not take him top 5.
Greeves has been a consistent top performer over the past 2 years. He knows how to get the ball and is an inside / outside mid who also performs well as a forward. I don't think pace is an issue for him and has improved his defensive game. I would not be disappointed if we took Greeves with one of our picks.
I heard he won the lotto over there, well he had a threesome with 6 matching balls anywayWhen does THE_GUN get back from pumping ladyboys? Need to know how tall Robey actually is.
Yeah it's probably more based on the role though and wce prioritising an extra pick and by doing so potentially downgrading from sharp to the 2nd best big bodied mid in this draft. Farrow is probably that role but might be a bit to early at pick 5 and is touted as WA best prospect, whereas greeves has been touted top 10 for most of the yr.maybe but Greeves is not Sharpe, nor is Lindsay
I am not Victorian, never lived there. If West Coast did that I would see that as a big f.. up in general.
It is interesting, you come up with those names. I assume you are Victorian I live in NSW, not WA nor SA either, never been to SA yet, nor WA for that matter
not trying to put Greeves down but he does not have Sharpes CV, and does not appear as hard or aggressive, but that is just my perception. Sharpe has a different body to
I think they would be more worried about the WA factor than RFC.Yeah it's probably more based on the role though and wce prioritising an extra pick and by doing so potentially downgrading from sharp to the 2nd best big bodied mid in this draft. Theyd probably be looking at it more on the basis of who would Richmond most likely let slide if they took a Cumming for example (I'm saying cumming because he is a bit of a point of difference mid, who can kick goals in this draft).
Imo Sharp would be the most likely to drop and you'd still have the choice of greeves or could reach for Farrow potentially if sharp didn't go but you'd have some combination of Cummings sharp/greeves/farrow and then pick 6 if you were in wce shoes.
The more I look at this draft the more I hate it. There is not a single player I'm excited about in the top 10.
Shuffle ALL picks into 2026 please list management team
You have completely lost the plot if you don't think Zeke and CDT would be first round draft picks last year.
Alex Dodson went pick 50 odd because he's a pure ruckman who offers nothing else. He can't go forward he's ineffective as transitional player. His skills are limited at best.
CDT has separated himself as a genuine pick 1 contender because he has the physical tools to play not just as a ruckman/mid but also as a KPF.
its sharpeiIt's Sharp, not Sharpe you dyslexic campaigners

It sounds like barring something funky happening Duursma and CDT are going #1 and #2.....most think Sharpe will be gone in the top 2 don't they?
Some have their biases, and some I take with a grain of salt.
He won the Larke but has been talked about for years
Exactly this, as Cumming is from South Australia and richmond would probably be more likely to take him over Sharp (atleast in the eyes of recruiters etc) they'd be better off taking him before us and hoping sharp slides to 5 and then still having another pick with 6 as we are probably more likely to take cumming.I think they would be more worried about the WA factor than RFC.
they got Bo Allan, Baker home and others. I know WA not a strong contingent this year but clearly there is a WA focus but so should there be because they do not want to lose too much on the go home factor. They would have other strategies. When they lost Judd they got J Kennedy back, grew up in WA prior to CFC.
Even when they got Reid part of the reason would have been because he was rated so much higher, when/if he went back or elsewhere they would get great compensation even though Reid cost the first pick so they had little choice not to take him.
clearly in recent years they have been focusing on WA youngsters, fair enough. This is supposedly a weakish draft, so why get carried away with Melbourne talent if them???
I mean Duursma is highly rated but if it is just about compo timing they could get more picks this year or trade him back later if that is how it pans out
The WA fan said pick 1 and 16 for 5 and 6. With 5 and 6 on Sharpe and Cummings. Was part of that because they are from SA versus Melbourne let alone Victoria?
If RFC was ultra smart you would be assessing WA talent over the next three years, what West Coast will want and what there best options are??? or example knowing future latent coming through are they better off getting Duursma and trading him back for better WA talent in future years like Josh Kennedy for Judd?
I think West Coast will try and pick up Cody Curtain for starters as well as others like Rodriguez and to get appropriate later picks to do it. Farrow and others would be high on their priority.
See Oscar Allen was born in Perth, played for WA in U18, won Larke Medal and Eagles happy to let Allen go to Lions for pick. Good compo but the back and forth obviously is part of their business model and principles/philosophy on how they can be successful including the WA element and allowing player mobility
