Essendon are a long way from rock bottom. They’re not good, and possibly will find themselves in the purgatory zone of 11th to 14th on the ladder, but they’re not West Coast bad or North/Richmond young and bad.

Not sure Brad Scott is clueless as a coach...he had a very impressive record at North Melbourne getting finals (including a Prelim from memory) out of a very ordinary list. I think it goes much deeper than him given Essendon haven't won a final since about 2004.

They live in this beautiful sweet spot where they’re part of the VFL but sit outside the bubble and can close ranks and avoid so much scrutiny compared to the clubs inside the Melbourne bubble.

I think Fagan on unfiltered really showed how difficult it is to turn a club around the way he and others have at the Lions

Scott has never had to do that. He just sits back as the list gets topped up and they get to be a Victorian team with a home ground advantage

Needs to be a gay & indigenous female who is abused for the AFL to take it seriously.

There's no place in society for homophobia & racism under any circumstances.

Demonstrative behaviour towards a female is AOK.

It's not like we have domestic violence issues in this country or anything........ No need to take a stand or set an example here AFL........
