The man currently being questioned by law enforcement as part of the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s shooting was taken into custody in St. George, Utah, near Zion National Park, about 250 miles southwest of the campus
That's down by the border with Nevada and Arizona, desert, fairly remote but down the freeway from Vegas. Not exactly a place a liberal would grow up unless he was rebelling against family you'd think.

I’m not going to bother addressing your points because again I don’t agree with many things Charlie Kirk says. But you’ve Certaintly twisted a few things he has said.

Regardless attempting or actually murdering these people because you may disagree with their politics just shows how petty and unstable some libs are.

Just checking in.

Mum of the alleged killer.

White, conservative family, cisgender, straight, from Utah.

Thoughts?

You can’t support the 2nd amendment and pretend that doesn’t come with the consequences of innocent people being shot, he just stated the obvious . Kamala is a gun owner and supports the right to bear arms. She is no better than Kirk in regards to guns even if she didn’t say the obvious.

If I say part of the freedom to drive around Australia means some people will die on the roads it doesn’t simply mean I deserve to be killed. You are just stating the risks that come with that right.
You're scrambling.

Comparing the purpose, function and outcome of motor vehicle usage to that of gun usage is just willful ignorance. Motor vehicles serve a purpose vastly more beneficial than the relatively miniscule risks associated with occasional misuse.

You may as well have compared firearms to tractors, ladders, ropes or glass, such is the ridiculousness of your vehicle analogy.

Extremely sad spot for US politics.
That we can agree upon

Found this.

"Two hundred yards is an incredibly difficult shot, considering the conditions.

That’s the kind of range where trained marksmen rely on match-grade sniper ammunition — rounds like .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor, engineered for precision and stability.

At that distance, you don’t just pull a trigger. You calculate wind drift, humidity, and elevation. And somehow, maintain your heartbeat and breathing.

A 5-mph crosswind can shift a bullet inches off target at 200 yards.

Yet the shooter struck the neck — exactly where intended. No bullet proof vest would have stopped that.
The Trump shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania was from a distance of about 70 yards."

If it turns that Kirk was killed by a leftist, he/she is a better shot than 99% of those hayseed hillbillies that give the NRA its reason for existing.

And they would be right. The BBC article I read said 130m, but 200 yards is harder, like say the difference between a 25m kick for goal and a 35m kick for goal.

“He didn't have to be highly trained as a sniper to make that shot from 200 yards, because 200 yards with the right rifle and the right optics is not that far,” former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Dennis Franks told The Independent."

"Luke Laterza, a retired police sergeant and expert firearms examiner who ran the Newark PD’s ballistics lab until 2016, largely echoed Franks’s take on things."

“As far as a skill level, he did know what he was doing,” Laterza told The Independent. “This guy had some knowledge of shooting.”

“Maybe he was a hunter,” Laterza said. “Maybe he took some lessons.”

"If the scope is properly dialed in, the type of rifle the possible suspect used “could easily make that shot at well over 1,000 yards,” according to Laterza, who said wind would not have been much of a factor with a heavy round."

I have not fired a firearm in 30 years, but 30 years ago with say a .308 and a zeroed in scope, sure. But being inexperienced in taking elevated shots, getting the drop right would have been an issue. But I do not believe he was aiming for the neck. He got the drop wrong.

Frankly a lot of this "he had to be a trained sniper rubbish" is the media beating things up, the same way they will call a .223 intermediate round "high powered", yea compared to a .22 long rifle. Or the way any AFL player is an "AFL Star".

Well now we know, I guess.

Every job is easy for the loud mouthed know all that turns up to work at lunchtime and watches TV. “No one knows more” than….. the man that hasn’t been encumbered by reading ot listening - the consumption of information.

Never felt restricted by the demands of a budget, the constraint of balancing competing priorities - no need to pay bills, and deadlines can always be pushed out to ‘in two weeks time, trust me.’

Basically a mobster.

So, that gamble that it was undoubtedly a left wing shooter?
he’s a nick fuentes fan (allegedly) who wasn’t happy that kirk wasn’t far right enough.

hmm, i for sure thought it was an evil
lefty! what a surprise!

So, of all the political violence that's been committed "from both sides" in recent times - the Pelosi husband attack, the assassination of Democratic senators, the attempt on Trump's life, the Kirk shooting.... could somebody please give me a breakdown of the split between that which was perpertrated by radical leftists versus RWNJs?

Just curious, that's all.
