USA MAGA activist Charlie Kirk shot dead during Utah rally

Okay. We've probably had enough of a free for all.

There are still forum and site posting guidelines, and you will abide by them.

A few seem to be of the opinion that now is a good time to have a crack at moderators or moderation. I'd rather like to discourage that impulse so I'm going to make it explicit: a moderator on this forum is a poster like any other, and can share their views and have free use of the forum like any other. If you feel a post breaches the rules report it; attacking a mod for their posting or objecting to a post purely because a moderator said it is grounds for an infraction and some time off.

From here, if you cannot speak civilly, you will not be allowed to participate.

Thanks all.

Says they take depolarisation stance.

Yet accuses anyone left as being insane.
what I meant was in the right - sure groypers and neo Nazis are ugly - even fundy Christian’s - but the ugliness on the left is coming from mainstream polititians and the legacy media- do you really want me to analyse the threads comments and throw stats at you? Cos I can do that.

Given he originally registered at 18 as a Republican and that he turned 22 it is indeed a radical shift in just a few short years

Not to mention the donation to Trump's campaign

Is it possible for someone in their early 20's to have different political views to their parents and grandparents?

Would be pretty common or even the most common occurrence. Not sure how this is some big gotcha moment at this stage. What other info is there?

And over those 4 years from 18 to 22 he's been actively engaging in an online community of far-right wing incels, posting socials of himself in Trump shirts, and dressing up in Incel/ alt Right costumes?

That's a pretty Machiavellian plan. Masquerading as a far-Right wing incel online for 4 years, while secretly actually being a liberal or socialist.

I guess maybe that's what he was doing (or he suddenly did a 180 overnight from Nazi adjacent Trump loving incel to full blown Leftist) but it's definitely looking much more like a deliberate accelerationist terror attack, by a lone far right wing incel edgelord.

His Telegram messages (and likely his Terrorgram messages, yes this is an actual thing) and online posts will be pretty informative.

Yeah go on.

Carn - his high school mate says he is a lefty - get with the narrative

Ok for the first 18 pages - High-level quantitative summary (pages 1–18 sample)

(These are estimates from the sample of pages 1–18. I read the posts and coded them manually.)
• Total posts sampled: ~180 posts (rough estimate from pages 1–18; each page contains ~9–12 visible posts in the sample area I fetched).
• Political orientation of posters (approx.):
• Critical of Charlie Kirk / anti-right rhetoric — ~45% of posts (criticisms of Kirk’s ideas, calls him divisive, many posts described him as bigoted).
• Sympathetic / pro-right / mournful for Kirk — ~30% (posts expressing sorrow, calling for civility, praising free speech, or defending him).
• Anti-both / condemning political polarisation — ~15% (posts saying both sides are guilty or calling the thread toxic).
• Neutral / factual / procedural (eg. links to news, moderator notes) — ~10%.
• Tone distribution (approx.):
• Critical / hostile language (insults, calling Kirk names, strong condemnations) — ~35%
• Mournful / empathetic (toward victim/family) — ~25%
• Analytical/discussion (guns, politics, media bias) — ~25%
• Celebratory or overt triumphalism — ~5% (few posts celebrating)
• Moderator / civility reminders — ~10%.
• Label usage & narratives (qualitative counts):
• Words like “MAGA”, “neo-Nazi”, “woke”, “legacy media”, “Republican”, “left/right/centrist” appear frequently. Use of labels is common — roughly >50% of political posts use some ideological label.
• Frequent narratives: (a) Kirk as divisive influencer; (b) US gun culture / Second Amendment debate; (c) hypocrisy/contradictions in political stances; (d) media or political elites exploiting the event.

Oh right you read 18 pages in 10 minutes and coded them manually.

Be honest, which AI did you use to produce this nonsense?

Are you seriously citiing Breitbart news?

I saw a full minutes silence for him. From both sides, even the side that he openly talked about removing, and opposed.

How is that 'ugliness'? If anything, it was a political stunt from the Republicans.

We don't see a minute's silence for the other tens of thousands of gun murders in the USA annually.

Leading Democrats have all - universally - condemned the murder. Not one has celebrated it.

What is ugly about that?

Post some.

Don’t just claim it.

Post something like this:

<<<SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Slain right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk once used his platform to call for a “patriot” to bail out the man who broke into Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s house in San Francisco and attacked her husband with a hammer. Kirk, who was one of the loudest, most youthful voices on the MAGA far-right, made the comments on a 2022 episode of his podcast, “The Charlie Kirk Show.”>>>

Cmon we are all ears
