What essendon need is a fit list and senior players .

If anything essendon should be the club chasing flanders / petracca/ marshall / worpol .

Sure. But you have to convince people to want to go there. And it doesn't look like a very happy club at the moment. If you have low morale at the club and are not a contender then it will be very hard to sell yourself. Thats the other thing the Vic articles are missing when they suggest players Hawthorn could trade there like Mitch Owens - the player has to agree to be traded there. It's a similar situation with Carlton and Curnow, they want players not picks if they trade him but nobody wants to go there.

They looked pretty good with out him too and would be interesting to see how they go again without him.

Only issue is, if he is keen to get back to WA and we are the ones that have to put the call in, it’s probably not a good sign but still worth asking the question. Haven’t seen the whole clip to see if Mitch says he turned it down ect.

The rumours of Mrs Neale wanting to come home are getting louder though. It is known fact there were heavy discussions around that last contract.

Neale can see the finish line and if he waits until end of his current contract he’ll likely have declined slightly and will have a hard time securing a good deal to finish on.
Offer him a deal he can’t turn down. The pull home is there, just push him over the edge. We don’t have anyone else to pay.

Watched the part where it’s discussed.

They said their midfield looks good without him and Will Ashcroft wants more midfield time, so does Rayner, so does Zac Bailey, so does Levi. Zac Bailey’s free agency coming up.

Mitch mentions we put the call in (assuming he’s going off last weeks report) Kane said he’s perfect for us but you have to treat players of Neales calibre and what he’s done for the club right (meaning you don’t push him). Mitch finished with he thinks he’s sticking around to win the flags though.
