Unofficial Preview Preliminary Final: Lions v Pies - 5.15 Saturday 20 September

Not much has been mentioned of our inaccuracy vs The suns, but it was glaring. Charlie, Berry, Bruce, Big O, and Wash all missed sitters that should’ve been automatic. Clean that up against the Pies, and suddenly we’re not just competing, we’re applying serious scoreboard pressure. That kind of polish could be the difference between a tight contest and a statement win.

I think there was a bit of players all having a ping from the arc to kick long range goals in third quarter. Everyone was trying it but it didn't click unfortunately. They could've gone for one more kick inside 50 to a player who could mark it. Would've given us a higher probability of converting one.

That game would have given Ty a big bump in confidence that he can compete well at the level.

Yep, I was waiting for his first goal and finally he got it. You can tell he was buzzing around after that, marks were starting to stick in the wing etc. Can't wait to see him make more progress in the prelim next.

I think Charlie became what a lot of us were calling for - back to his days as a pressure forward. His KPIs all about pressure and tackling. He is such a good field kick too - i wonder if we should play him higher? Takes the pressure off his kicking yips. That pass to Logan was delightful

I'm seeing people on twitter and Facebook ask for membership codes of people who aren't going, so they can buy a ticket, you need to be careful, I've heard of instances where that person has used the code to buy a GF ticket with that code the next week, highly recommend you don't give your code to anyone!

Totally agree - often come with a story of long time supporter etc sick family member, mate hard on his luck etc and often new to the board, Or they sell off the tickets to opposition supporters and we have to put up with them in our designated section. Sorry a personal hate!

Happened to us in the 23 GF, seated in a massive Lions bay and we were stuck next to the most annoying mother and 20 something year old daughter Collingwood fans who were the biggest smart arses that rated themselves too highly you could think of.

Geez i thought it was only us the last few collingwood games where we have had the most annoying collingwood supporters sitting directly behind us in next row. Glad we are not the only ones then. Think its the power in numbers where they think they are entitled to be able to say anything they like, or they think they can anyway.

I managed to get one from a family friend but thank you for thinking of other Lions fans.

I'd never considered that someone would do anything dodgy like using it to get GF tix etc, that's pretty disappointing. But it does make you wonder why they can't generate a unique code for each final

It is your membership code, they use it to track years of membership, your log on, match it to ticketek among other things.

Creating a new member code each year won't happen because they'd have to migrate data and with all that processing there is possibility of screw ups and employee time to sort it out is high.

i don't trust then to create a corresponding finals member number against our membership number either.

You can always buy the tickets then send them to your friend and get reimbursed. That doesn't risk your code.

We got 2nd tier section N34, very satisfied with that. Could get wet there if the forecast rain arrives... which I will happily sit through if we get the win, will make for a miserable evening if we lose though.

Only 0-5mm of rain BUT more likely later in the day

and a chance of morning hail!

My weatherzone app which is usually pretty good says 40% rain with less than 1mm. Start of the week it was up to 20mm. and the day before and after is only 1-5mm. So at least we are avoiding the really wet game that it looked like

I had the same experience. Ticketek website was so slow i reckon i got my payment through with about 30 seconds to spare. I didn’t mess around, clicked through everything, no mistakes.

You're just better off taking whatever you can get. I logged in at 9.30am- so 30 minutes before the 10am start- and I was still 26,000 back in the queue.

No need to log in more than a couple of minutes in advance - the queue number is totally random. I had the laptop, ipad and iPhone in the queue, all logged in after 9:50. Got queue number 7900, 9800, 22000.

Best bet is multiple devices, keep the device with the lowest queue number.

Yeah, Fagan said it was a knock he got a month ago and the strapping is for protective reason but his knee is fine.

Yes, stressful. Put in 5 barcodes, got all the way to payment, then booted out. Had to go through waiting again, did exactly the same thing and it worked
