Campbell Chester, best known for wearing a big guernsey on draft night and getting to live with Harley Reid, has decided to turn his back on the club that fecked his ankle and play under Michael Voss (for a bit) at Carlton.

Cheeser, 22, was West Coast's first selection in the 2021 draft - a talent pool that has proven to be somewhat middling but not as outright COVID-Y as the 2020 draft.

Mr. Campbell finishes his time at the Eagles playing a handful of utterly forgettable games over a period of absolute misery for the club.

I don’t think they were blindsided. Was reported the Blues were after his and the offers were the same. Probably disappointed but someone didn’t put out an announcement and now it’s too late until he’s traded. I highly doubt he is any chance of coming back now.

Spewing Chesser is leaving. Even if he became a Masten, it would have been good for the team no doubt. Personally i think he has better athletic traits than masten.

Without the football IQ of where to be or the elite kicking. Masten made some poor decisions by foot particularly when young but he was an elite kick inside 50. I think Masto's career is heavily underrated. Sure it wasn't what was expected of a pick 3 after losing Judd but he was by no means a bust unlike the other WA midfielders of that supposed star U18 midfield team.

Na, I watched Chesser run up and down the wing with no clue what he was doing enough times to make an assessment. Might turn out to be incorrect but I'm still making it.

if you wish to continually torture yourself by overthinking things around that trade, go for it. but here is a tip, that trade will not change no matter how many times you revisit it. eaglevision no doubt will give us permutations on who we could have drafted, even with future picks traded a year in advance, 2 decades after fact.

Wouldn't be nice to have a rusted on ex WCE in media somewhere going in to bat for us? For all the rightful bitching of Pav, at least he's unquestionably diehard Freo through and through. I'd love someone in media to do that for us.
