Now this one I apologize for I might need to plead ignorance.. I wasn’t aware personally of any deal in place with the afl or between clubs where we are entitled to first dibs on players coming into free agency.

Then it’s not a free agent, it’s a forced trade. Players Association won’t go for it because it will influence which club their members can go to.

May will be 34 before the start of next season, his form this year was ordinary most of the time, I'd be surprised if another club went after him.

IIRC some of the narrative on the draft board pre Tom's drafting was that he was better than big brother. Tom played 20 games for us and 23 for the Suns over 6 seasons, you would have to think that is career over.

Oscar Allen wants to come to Brisbane. If Brisbane need to give up the equivalent of pick-2 to get him then they're not going to do that, which restricts the ability for free-trade and limits where FA's can sign - which the Players Association won't go for.

Just what I needed to read, thank you. To this point I’d been pretty satisfied with our season but now I won’t be content until I see a red-faced Eddie holding back tears on Saturday night

Eddie Mcguire saying there will be a final 10 system for the finals. Seeing how he knew there was an origin long before most people do, and given his connections, i'm likely to believe it. I also think a top 10 is much better given it's an 18 team comp now. They probably should have done it earlier tbh.

Players Association won’t like it because it restricts the number of suiters for their players, which reduces the $’s that they can earn or their opportunity to move for success.
They won’t give up what they have now unless they get back something in return.

I want a Rayner vs O'Connor vs Crowd encore. It deserves a second take on the biggest stage and deserves to get closure in this season itself.

So - my preference is for Cats and us to win through.
