They will be hard to beat in the big one

Back in the old 2nd semi final days , their were plenty of big turn arounds from well beaten teams in the 2nd semi to the GF result

If you said to me you would get brisbane with
No Berry
Neale on one leg
2 Cooked rucks
20 yos as the key forwards
And Cameron relatively anonymous
And cameron in dominant form over Lester and Gardiner
Plus a week off and no travel
I would say thats as good a chance as you ever get to beat them.

No excuses-i look forward to revenging them.
Honestly it will be like the 2011 GF in that for 3 quarters it will be amazing but I think we will roll them in the end.

We got them. Doesn't matter.
People will rightly get nervous, it's a Grand Final after all, but previous results mean nothing, Cats didn't pull some BS trump card in the QF that was a 1 off advantage, we simply played the game we have played for the latter half of the season.
THEY have to beat US.

Not to mention that Brisbane has had to play three tough, physical games (including against ourselves) over the last three weeks to make it into the GF. That inevitably has to take a toll on any side.
And not to mention that if we kicked straight we would have beat them by 10 goals

They said he probably will be- spent hours in hyperbaric chambers and right to go

Hes old and you know better than anyone that calf injuries are not a 3 week injury when you are old (and have had repeat ones).
Yes hes played injured in a GF before and been great so mentally that helps but theres no way hes fully fit if he plays.

They took a flag off us last year. I want to bury them.

I only get nervous because of how we started last night.
But if we start well i dont think we ger run down. Everything is in our favour.

Collingwood suffered for playing underdone/ injured players
Pendlebury
Howe
Michocek

They had to. They dont have the depth in kids below them that brisbane do and we do.

I'd prefer we hunt them as if there was no tomorrow, because there isn't.

To be fair we took the flag off ourselves.
But yes I agree i want to bury them and if we do i hope everyone reminds floppy rayner about being a flog.

This is the biggest game we have had since the 2011 GF. Im nervous but I can't wait.

True - but the Lions have been very impressive - powering home 25 shots to 14

It will be a very tight GF in my opinion

Hell of along time ago 1964 , Melb flogged Coll by 89 pts in the 2nd semi - they scrambled home by 4pts in the GF against the same opponent , kicking the winner at the death

Surely that’s a huge risk? He couldn’t run 2 weeks ago.
They would be mad to play him.

I think they will take the risk but I wouldn't. It could backfire and he could be gone early. Pies clearly risked it with pendlebury and that backfired.
