Should brought him to the meeting to have half a chance.
Anyone cluey can work this out.Yep...
But seriously, it was reported he liked hardwick and the vision he had for the club. So he chose hardwick over the nicks vision.
We all know that nicks lacks personality but it seems Petracca saw through the corporate speak of our drone coach.
Another piece of evidence to sack him.
They have to meet Nicks sometime though!Anyone cluey can work this out.
We should be using Davis or Balme to sell the message.

After they have signed a contract. They have to meet Nicks sometime though!![]()

My initial guess is if Nicks was spruiking the Crows his biggest selling point on the club would be how it's family oriented environment, team first etc etc and maybe what Petracca wanted to hear and what Hardwick told him was all about winning a premiership and where Petracca fit into that first and then worry about the off-field stuff after.Yep...

We don't have any midfielders in the SANFL, otherwise Boyle wouldn't be playing there. So Nicks didn’t run enough players through the midfield and we were “fatigued”.
Gees if only we had some mids who were stuck on flanks…..or SANFL…….
Boy genius our coach……..

Because they think our supporters are dumb, just look at some on here buying itI don’t understand why you’d publicly use that excuse, it’s fully within your control and is clearly the responsibility of the coaches.
Send Boyle to hb. Edwards back into the midfieldWe don't have any midfielders in the SANFL, otherwise Boyle wouldn't be playing there.
Surely.

well who is going to break this news to Nix?![]()
Trade Period: Justin Reid on Trade Radio five key takeaways
Reid spoke on Trade Radio on Fridaywww.afc.com.au
Crows keen to back in organic growth
Adelaide enjoyed a rapid rise in their 2025 campaign, going from 15th to minor premiers, but fell short during the finals series.
Reid said the Crows were always looking to better their list, particularly with midfield depth, but he was confident the organic growth of the playing list had the side ready to compete.
“We are certainly not a finished product,” Reid said.
“Guys like Sid Draper after another pre-season under his belt, Dan Curtin who went up to the wing, and who’s a big body and we’ve seen him play midfield as a junior.
“With the likes of Zac Taylor, Luke Pedlar - just a few more guys going through there (the midfield) to give us depth as we get to the pointy end of the year.
“We went from eight wins (in 2024) to 18 wins, which was great, but we need to keep exposing the list and finding some opportunities for guys as well.”
List exposure key for improvement
When speaking on day five, Reid said list exposure would be just as important in improving the Crows side.
“It’s not a finished product and we are actually pretty excited about exposing the list even more, and we still think there’s a lot of growth there.
Then the development coacheswell who is going to break this news to Nix?

Can Reid become chair of selection...![]()

Another instance of Nicks and list management being on seperate pages. Saying we need to expose our list when we have (another) coach whose stated mission is to do the exact opposite.![]()

Can understand this in finals but if he had experimented a bit more during the season he may have identified alternatives we could have used in the finals. Not all.
Nicks went back to Laird and Keays in the finals.
As well as having fresher players for the finals. Can understand this in finals but if he had experimented a bit more during the season he may have identified alternatives we could have used in the finals.
