No. He's likely to stay at Giants now after being fkd over by Saints.

It sounded like he's on low money at the Giants. Wouldn't it make sense to offer him the Silvagni money and shore up our defence? He might be happy to get to the Pies for 100K less than the Saints offer, but still more than he'll make at the Giants. And feels like he'll be a more durable option than Silvagni

Not if we don't think he is a priority & are backing in our defence. Adding a depth defender for nothing like Blight makes more sense, imo.

Fair enough. I know Leppa's comment about our backline not being an issue in the near term, but our backline looked vulnerable in the back end of the season particularly with no real backup to Howe when he was injured. Charlie Dean was our go-to backup but he's gone. Not sure who else in the VFL setup is ready to step up

Because no club is in a position at the moment to fly to Barcelona and do a medical on him.
