A third wouldn’t have any value to them…You’d have got a third back or something but the first had to be the first piece.
Brisbane did well it’s what we should do sometimes over taking it you know what sometimes we were better this year
This is hilariously ironic given your comments in the Starcevich thread. Took about a week for you and Senor M to have egg on your face regarding the psd.
Yeah it was coordinated no doubt. No, but there is a different set of wording if Ah Chee is open to resigning. Something along the lines of "we're going to take our time and consider all options" or something like non-committal that.
Coming out seconds after trade period saying "nope, no chance, we're PSD bound" is either rank amateurish or they're committed to it. It's most likely they're already committed to it, especially with Adelaide's list manager as well being present (which would have been coordinated prior).

At this juncture the PSD/ND is Ah Chee's mechanism to get paid. Brisbane can offer him terms (or not) and he can accept (or not) but the PSD/ND is his opportunity to lock in 5 years x $600k or whatever the mooted deal is. Can always nominate something like 2 years x $850k which no one else is likely to take on then take a lesser extension. WC have almost unprecedented leverage in the form of pick 1 in the PSD and huge cap space and probably still won't take him.
But it would be really, really funny if they did.
Does he have to nominate. If he doesn’t nominate does he become a dfa so we get him anyway.
Or he will go into contract negotiations and push for more than the Lions are willing to pay ?This is great news. If the guy is managing more lions players he will know to ensure a satisfactory deal can be made in the future. He will also be very sceptical of any of his players moving to adelaide in the future.
Adelaide miss player they wanted to get, Brisbane lose player they wanted to keep, WC gain player for free?
Puffing the chest out over a 28 year old with a young family, who has just helped you win 2 flags is pathetic. But when you get everything delivered to you on a silver platter, you tend to lose perspective.
Or he will go into contract negotiations and push for more than the Lions are willing to pay ?
Clubs rarely take players who flat out says they have no interest of joining them. Reportedly West Coast have already approach Ah Chee during the trade period and he decline????At this juncture the PSD/ND is Ah Chee's mechanism to get paid. But as of now, you have forced a 2 time premiership player at the back end of his career to forfeit a move to a club he wanted when that club offered up a very good deal being for an OOC player. What will Ben be saying to how other clients that might think about leaving. Why? We have never as far as I can remember chased a player, offered them a lucrative contract, got them to quit their club and not got a trade done. Certainly not since Fagan arrived. This is on the crows make no mistake.

You can make these points about Adelaide. Wouldn’t be surprised when that dust settles that Ah Chee has a new managerId say its the other way round if you listen to his manager and if he has other players there its going to cost them one way or another now that you have done the dirty on him when Brisbane have known about this for a while it seems

I mean if he wants to pursue a personal vendetta instead of look after his players thats up to him i guessOr he will go into contract negotiations and push for more than the Lions are willing to pay ?
You've just had your way all along thanks to being bottom 4 and hanging PSD threat on other clubs.
Welcome to top end of table where you need to deal fairly.

We didn't offer Petty 2 1st rounders, it was a 1st rounder and McAdam. KPD are worth more trade capital. The best trade deals the Crom have made the last few years are the ones that have fallen over due to the other team's stupidity (Oliver for a first rounder, Petty for two first rounders).
So strong likelihood they have cooked here.
Correct
We did. You've just had your way all along thanks to being bottom 4 and hanging PSD threat on other clubs.

Would they not back him because of the b2b premiership.. whybare u acting like there's n connection in this post? You may well be right...we might lose Cal for nothing and he might even end up with Adelaide via the PSD
This might even end up being Dom's first 'bad' move but don't for a second think that Brisbane fans' laughs come from the hubris of being back-to-back premiers...make no mistake, they come from the fact that our club trusts our list management team 1,000,000 per cent because they've given us every reason to do so
If Dom felt this was the right deal to cut our nose off to spite our face, then Brisbane fans will back him without hesitation
In Dom we trust...
