Much rather have pick 16 and miss out on Ah Chee than the opposite.

Sorry to intrude... But theres 13 clubs that can pick him up before the crows.

The eagles would be crazy not to at least be talking to him. They have the salary to match what crows are offering.
He didn’t want to go to you in the first place. Do you want a player that didn’t want you?

Can almost assure you his manager won’t even make contact with any clubs.

And it only takes 1. He's a Perth boy.

He's not guaranteed to get to crows. That's not how the psd works. You can't demand where you go. Neither can his manager.

And i don't know about powers cap or list space, but they have a pick before crows.

You'll probably get him - but in no way is it a certainty when you finish 5th.
A Perth boy that's parents live in SA now, why do you think the attraction to Adelaide was just the money after being underpaid at Brisbane. Did you not just hear his manager Brisbane were made aware months ago that was Cal's wish?

Understandable with a son 4 and a daughter 1 to want to be around their grandparents.

He can demand where he wants to go and so can his manager, his manager can just refuse calls from other clubs and say he has no interest in playing anywhere other than the AFC no club is going to draft a 28 year old on a 1 million that first year who doesn't want to play for them.

He’s not going to the Eagles or any other club. Every club knows how to make sure the PSD draft goes your way. The Crows had cap space to go for NWM and Petracca this year, we are all good to front load it and then even out afterwards.

Clubs don’t draft $1m+ per season players that have zero desire to be there.

Most clubs respect the PSD as they all from time have players who enter looking to make their list. There is absolutely no known cases of a club stealing a player in the PSD. Its never happened. Always a first time though. There have been occassions though where clubs will contact the player in advance and determine interest. They have to. All Ah Chee has to do is say he is going to live in Adelaide, heavily front end his contract so Port dont get him which Port wont because they admitted themselves they need a war chest for upcoming contract renewals.

It's not a hill we are dying on; it's business not personal. Handed everything in a non-AFL state lol, there are more father sons in our best 22 than academy picks, you got Ben Keys right. Our recruitment team have done exceptionally well. And not so long ago we were perpetual whipping boys, we never want to go back there again.
Its the sort of thing that can upset the other clubs. Its not bad enough to be getting the NGA players which other clubs are already screaming about. Then to act in this arrogant manner will only create more pressure to cease your NGA selections.

There’s a few salty lions supporters on the draft board.

They’ve acquired Draper and Allen via FA and gaining a free pick in Annable. But lost their minds, because we’re not giving up pick 16 for a 28 year old out of contract player. If you ask me, it was generous adding in a third rounder on top.

Looking forward to the media asking every list manager of clubs that finished below us whether they will take him
Yep but if it were a big Melbourne club in the same boat they wouldn't say a thing.

Lol. No way. We are back to back premiers. Have good draft capital and made a stand at your silly club paying unders. We are obviously prepared to lose him for nothing. It shows that Crows don't want to pay for players that want to come there. Hurts you at future negotiations as clubs will do to you what you did to us.
Brisbane's arrogance and your post --- ridiculous.

See yourself out, twerp.

This really just puts into perspective how much the draft has been compromised. When you get top 5 draft prospects for picks in the 30s and 40s, does a draft pick actually mean anything anymore?

You have GC throwing away first rounders like confetti these past 5 years. Sydney know they have academy picks in the pipeline so they can trade 3 first rounders for Curnow. Brisbane are about to get their 3rd top 5 pick in 4 years and have played in the last 3 GFs, of course 2nd and 3rd rounders mean nothing to them other than points.

The AFL has right royally ****ed it.
