Given we're leaving it unusually late to make a call on Sonsie and Dow, I'd say there's some negotiations on pick swaps going on behind the scenes, and we're not yet certain how many picks we're going to take to the draft.

It may amount to nothing, but I can't see any other reason why they wouldn't have let Sonsie/Dow know by now.

It could be even to let their managers try and look at the market to see if they will get picked up as DFA's or if we delist them we could rookie list them?
Anything could be happening.

This will mean he wont take a ruckman early, leaving him to us

A bit more palatable to take Duff at Pick 4, instead of Pick 2

Could work out for us, and we should 100% do it if we can

Duff could be anything, and we are at the stage of our rebuild that we should be swinging for the fences

the gettable guys without their industry connections would be totally useless. toohey gets the top 10 right because hes fed the info not because hes some brain that pours over the data. seems less involved every year. rather listen to a dyl alexander who clearly lives and breathes it.

Yeah. The usual journo writing/ commenting on the draft have no idea. Spout nonsense and do it confidently = success.

Even guys like Dyl Alexander haven't thought through what they are saying. They'll say 'you pick for 5 years from now', then say 'the Tigers have Hopper and Taranto so they'll not pick a mid.' I know they have 18 teams to look at, but it's not that hard.

Anyway, this year is strange. Three top picks who are high potential, but not low risk. Then a heap guys with a similar risk/reward 'score', but extremely variable risk and reward ratings. SO I guess they are more all over the place because it is so unclear. And the Tigers are really not giving any clues.

CDT has always been a flight risk. Him and Greeves are ones that interstate clubs won’t touch.

If we do actually want him, it looks like there's plenty of scope to trade back.

its bizarro hes as high as #4 in some player ratings but no one but us wants him? doesnt make sense, its like theres some agreement thats been made that he's ours.

Which makes it likely we hold on to our picks. I doubt any club would feed into their firsts for next year for a player other than those 3, you would think.

I'm really hoping this Taylor talk is like Bo allan from last year. Not actually legit.

Robey and CDT would be amazing. otherwise Robey and Cumming/Grlj

Really hope the club sees it like this, although I trust their judgement.

That is one good point that i heard on True Footy.
Would two Issac Heanys be an issue on the same team?
Probably not....
I'm not sold on Robey BUT his fit in our team with Lalor and Smillie wont be a reason why i wouldnt draft him.

If CDT wants to get to Richmond his manager just tells WC he don’t want to play for you and likely to do a Horne-Francis and want out after 1st year. WC then shits themselves and drafts Sharp at 2 instead
