Was told that WCE still looking to take Duursma and CDT. That’s the word atm. A lot of work has gone into those two. A chance for Sharp and Robey.

We have done so much work on Sharp. Cousens has been instrumental in the information collected on him. I was told he’s our favourite atm.
How good is your source? I remember last year you said that Adelaide would take Harvey Langford ahead of Sid Draper.

Hello all, don’t mean to intrude, and I don’t intend to follow up. For the sake of your discussions I’d like to point out that this is absolute not the case irl, nor is it the consensus among eagles fans. Thankyou

Edit: CDT specifically, a ruck is definitely a need, but it would make more sense to trade in a ready made one rather than have him sit behind 3 of our existing kpf for a few years and stifle his development
Someone’s nervous about taking a ruckman in the top 2

They clearly should have.

Sharp is the best kid in the draft at 18, no doubt. The question is will he still be the best player from this draft at 23?

I don't doubt that. I was questioning how accurate the information is, given that he got wrong the previous year.

I doubt the Richmond recruiters have come up with their draft order yet and don't have a favourite.

No one is trading 2 picks to move up a few spots. Unrealistic.

They might trade one of their picks to move up but the best we could expect is a F2 or pick in 20s back as compo
Its not unrealistic. Highly unlikely though. But NorF & the eagles proved last year how stupid some clubs can be

They all have favourites every year just as we all do and their order is done the week after trade week. They are running draft night scenarios now and gathering intel on other clubs likely picks now.

Nowhere have I seen it written that CDT is a strong mark which is a real concern for a big man.
Still trying to work out how Samson Ryan was drafted given his dinner plate hands. How did we recruit a big man who has zero overhead marking
ability ?????????
As JR said of Shawn Hampson, it’s like his hands are two canoe paddles …

100% they have their draft order, what do you think would change their minds from now until draft?
people act like the club changes preferences every single day, rediculous.

Draft Information - Excerpts from
2. ZEKE UWLAND - The Suns are well prepared to match a Uwland bid, which will almost certainly come via one of West Coast (Pick 2) or Richmond (Picks 3 and 4).

3. DANIEL ANNABLE - The Lions will match an Annable bid, which could come as early as West Coast’s Pick 2. Otherwise, one of Richmond, Essendon or, at the latest, Melbourne will call his name, with Brisbane well placed to match.

4. COOPER DUFF-TYTLER - He’s a strong chance to land at West Coast (Pick 2), but Essendon (Picks 5 and 6) also has interest should it be able to trade up for him.

5. DYLAN PATTERSON - It’s expected one of West Coast or Richmond will bid on Patterson, with the Suns to match and secure their star academy prospect.

6. HARRY DEAN - If the Eagles don’t call his name, it’s unlikely Dean slides past Richmond. But don’t fear, Blues fans, with Carlton a certainty to match.

7. SULLIVAN ROBEY - Melbourne (Picks 7 and 8) was the first AFL team to reach out to Robey following his third Talent League match and would love to take him, but Richmond (Picks 3 and 4) and, especially, Essendon (Picks 5 and 6) will strongly consider him. If the Dees are keen, they’ll have to trade up. For what it’s worth, Robey is an Essendon fan.

8. XAVIER TAYLOR - Taylor has been strongly linked to Richmond (Pics 3 and 4) — and if the Tigers don’t take him, it’s hard to see him slipping past Essendon or Melbourne.

9. DYSON SHARP - Essendon (Picks 5 and 6), who’ve been linked to Sharp this week, is probably the start of his range, while Melbourne and West Coast would also consider him. There’s absolutely no way he gets past Adelaide (Pick 16), but it’s unlikely he’ll be on the board for that long.

10. SAM CUMMING - Cumming’s draft range starts at Richmond (Picks 3 and 4), but seems more likely at this stage to land at one of Essendon (Picks 5 and 6) or Melbourne (Picks 7 and 8). If he’s still on the board by then, he at least won’t get past the Giants (Pick 12).

11. SAM GRLJ - While Grlj is outside the top 10 here, there’s strong links to him being selected by Richmond at either Pick 3 and 4. Again, if he slides, it’s unlikely Essendon or Melbourne if he’s still on the board.

50. LOUIS KELLAWAY - Kellaway, the son of 180-game Tiger [PLAYERCARD]Duncan Kellaway[/PLAYERCARD], is tied to the Tigers under the father-son rule – and there’s a growing sense Richmond, if it wants him, will have to match a national draft bid.

More interviews could change their minds

Matching a bid for Kellaway will cost us nothing. The question is do we wish to give him a senior gig? I think the club would like to rookie him.

In the past they have met in Torquay and finalised a few weeks after the trade period which gives them a chance to review all the data before then.
